My suggestion, go and try it out. See if you can live with it or not. Look at your usage. For me, I do use the mouse on it a lot, but it's one of those where when I start using the touch pad (in situation where using a mouse is not really possible), it will irk the daylight out of me.

I am very sensitive about these kind of things and can pick up these small details. Many people are okay with it. For me, I find it unacceptable mainly because it's a RM6,000 +/- machine and to have a touch pad of this quality.

Is your GE70 2PE using Intel Wlan driver? You try to use the driver from Intel website, not the one from MSI website.

So, you solved it by downloading driver from Intel website?

What is your driver version? The latest should be 335.23 based on nvidia Experience on my GTX770M. Are you using beta driver? If yes, then switch back to the one in your DVD

335.23 but im on 870M. It still dosent work. Im trying this for Elder Scrolls Online by the way. Im installing Bioshock Infinite.

Is the driver compatible with DX11?

edit: So this guy has the same problem and this is his fix. http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discu...de-driver-crash

Try editing this file C:\Users\<Username>\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\UserSettings.txt . Change the line from "SET GraphicsDriver.7 "D3D11"" to "SET GraphicsDriver.7 "D3D9""

Anyone has any idea why is this happening?

Yes, it is definetely compatible. Yours is Win 8.1 default right? Have you done any Windows update recently?

Problem 1: Multi-Touch Interference
The click button is hidden under the actual touchpad. When you are not clicking, the space where the button is, is used as the touchpad allowing for movement.

The problem is while you are moving the cursor around with one finger, and you use another to click, occasionally it will register as a multi-touch input instead of a click.

Example would be accidental opening of the side charm bar, or zooming/rotating.

Bearable Workaround 1: Disabling the Multi-Features
You can disable the side charm bar/zooming etc, so that does make thigns more bearable.

--

Problem 2: Sensitivity Part A
Note: This issue is only for users who use high sensitivity. Aka 50-100% marker.
The sensitivity of the touchpad causes two issues. The first is, it does not detect small movements well, either that or, it does not translate small movements well.

The problem is obvious when you try to make very small movements, and I am talking about movements like trying to draw a circle of 1-2mm in size on the touchpad with your finger.

How does this affect your usage?
When using the touchpad trying to click on small icons/links/checkboxes etc.. or even trying to move the cursor to correct mistakes when you're typing.

Work around? None. This is the one that's irking me at the moment. While disabling palm detection, maxing out the sensitivity does give a smoother illusion, the problem is still there. BUT.. this is only an issue for users who use high sensitivity. If your sensitivity is at the 1-30% marker, you won't notice it.

--

Problem 3: Sensitivity Part B
The touchpad is hit and miss on the issue on multi-touch gestures. You have options of having two fingers tap etc to perform shortcut tasks. I set two-finger tap as my middle mouse button. This worked well on the GE40, but on the GS60 it's unreliable.
*

Mmmm... I'll experiment the touchpad if my GE60 has these issues.
So far, I feel like I am "in the heaven" with the touchpad. biggrin.gif

Yeah 8.1. I even reset to factory settings tried it and now updating to 8.1 (with the app store). Will try with other games.

What do you guys use for benchmark test?

After many hours of testing (because im a noob) this is what I found out.

Got GS70, update windows, updated Nvidia GTX870m installed Elder Scrolls Online. Couldn't get through intro title. Screen has huge pixels in them.

Couldnt uninstall graphics driver, restore to factory settings. Installed ESO again. Still same problem. Updated Direct X11, Windows, still same problem.

Reset to factory again. Update Windows, MSI driver from MSI's support page, and Direct X11. Installed ESO, still cant. Installed Bioshock Infinite and benchmark test. Both tells me that I have some Direct 3D problem.

Run "dxdiag" seems normal but at 3rd page, 3D Acceleration = "Not Available".

So what do I do now? I tried to run ESO and force it to DX9 then it works for a while.

For the record, I had no such issues with my GE40. Of course, the GE40 has its own buttons to click, so that already rules out a lot of the issues with sensitivity. But even though the pad is smaller, it's also more sensitive.

Edit: Sensitive as in it is more sensitive with detecting the smallest of movements accurately.

Previously using Logitech M705, now switch to Logitech G700s during warranty claim as M705 malfunction twice within 1 year because of USB receiver. And FYI, Logitech stuff are all 3 yrs warranty, anything happens besides your carelessness and natural disaster are free for 1 to 1.
