FYI, the NA servers were smooth and totally playable up until yesterday night. Dunno what caused it but most likely it got something to do with unifi.

PvE should be fine maybe unless extreme primal content you'll suffer much in those type of contents.

fought ifrit couple of times too and it was fine. not to mention those chaotic FATE events, all fine up until that bloody monday night, could considered lucky if u managed to land a hit or 2 on the mobs during FATE eventhough u were there spamming the damn buttons.

You have not tried extreme primals yet.

Just clarification ;

I was on Gilgamesh and still am doing fine .
No I am not on VPN although I am also a long time subscriber of bolehvpn. But I doubt it will have a large difference on things .

I had lags on Japanese servers too ,but it is irrelevant to the location of the servers . I have had a few hiccups once in a while but it is likely due to server overloads.
When we're talking about latency , undeniably NA servers are bound to have higher latency because it is further to Malaysia than Japanese servers.
But not the to point where it is unplayable .

And if we are going compare the servers in PVP , Japanese players are getting 15-30 ms from their region too. In high rank PP even 5 ms could means live or dead, so we are totally crushed too .

It is like I said , unless this game is designed with more intensive heroic raiding content than WOW ( which it is not ) , or unless you are extremely new to the whole MMO-Raiding experiences, you should be fine.

I did not have any problem playing on Gilgamesh dodging things as demonstrated in the video I had linked before the game even go live , so unless they have changed something from the beta, we should be still doing good . We are used to anticipate a move and dodging it naturally. Anyone who ever had heroic raiding experience in U.O , EQs , Vanilla WOW should know .

P/S : Stop discouraging people to play on NA servers , they are just fine . Got a few friend was reading this forum and told me to avoid USA servers like a plague but what was troubling USA servers right now are its stability ( it was down for almost a day )
