there a few things that you need to consider in choosing a juicer:

1. durability
juicing involves moving parts & tasking the juicer with unlimited kinds of fruits & vegetables. so make sure it is a long-lasting, trusted & good-reviewed juicer. buy only once, but able to use it many, many, many times smile.gif

2. spare parts
make sure that you know where to order the parts, locally & internationally. if anything goes wrong, broken or cracked, you know where to source for the replacement.

3. juicing efficiency
Centrifugal juicer only extracts about 60-70% juice. This is due to the design of the juicer itself, you will have less juice &  wet pulp that still contain some of the juice.

Slow juicer, although expensive, extracts up to 95% of juice, ending up with a drier pulp. In short, it means that you can get more juice, which translates to a better saving if you plan for a long-term juicing.

4. cleanup
have a look at the provided tools & parts that you need to clean after juicing. imagine you doing it daily & teaching someone else to do it properly  ...got to find a way to quicken the process & take care of the juicer parts as well.

for me, a big basin filled with water & some dishwashing liquid is recommended. after juicing, i just dip all the parts, brush em up & rinse at the sink. anything below 5 minutes seems okay lorr..

5. storage
ensure that you have a safe & secure place to store the juicer. not from thieves, but from ants, cockroach, rodents & etc. dont wanna end up juicing a cockroach instead..eewww tongue.gif

apart from it all, juicing is a good habit that you can cultivate not just to yourself, but also to those around you. so make sure that it is something that you enjoy doing & wil not be termed as a burden to you.

some recipes to suggest:
- granny smith apple + celery (reduce weight & ease the joints)
- grapes + pineapple (
- watermelon (with skin) & lime

happy hunting smile.gif
