guys, just wish to know has any one modify to better brake system? what need to do:
1. bigger disc brake (current front 15", rear 14" right)
2. change bigger or better caliper?
3. change brake pad
4. brake pump?

just my observe, found out lala when in high speed need better brake system. just now read some old old topic about extractor about what 4-2-1, 4-1 then 2.5" bla bla, kepala pening now...

IMP slotted/x drilled disc rotors + IMP steel braided brake hose + bosch DOT 5.1 brake fluid
for the rear, bendix ceramic based drum brake shoes
EBC greenstuff brake pads

ironically the stupid bendix is noisier than the front brakes... ceramic my ass       

for the noise, i think it really depends on the pads (although YES slotted/x drilled WILL introduce more noise thanks to the additional grind/friction which also would mean more pad wear) as the EBC greens are generally damn quiet unless it's on cold/slow bite and for my case, i have to wind down the windows to really hear the sound.

but hey, when the rotor/pads were new, the "turbine sound" while hard braking was addictive   

most people would never EVER reach the boiling point of DOT4, and DOT4 is cheaper, last longer than DOT 5.1 that tends to hygroscope much easier/faster.

so yeah if you never bother about braking performance (touge downhills/track days), i'd reckon one would never ever need to bother with DOT 5.1

someone knowledgeable in this industry told me that track cars use DOT 5.1 because these cars do not have ABS fitted. Google also tells me the same thing. Mitsubishi's manual also tells me the same thing.

But it's up to you la which one you wanna use, your money, no one stopping you.

Just a word of warning to the other owners, don't think that oh since 5.1 > 5 > 4 > 3 therefore it's the best and I must use it. Just saying. Don't come here complaining that your brakes fail one day. Don't play play with your brakes.

just say your brakes are turbocharged la, better stopping; con lan firm won't accident

guys the gearbox got shift lock wan right? i'e right after startup need apply brake only can shift from P to D
