Juz 1 more main service item 2deal with...
Replacing Brake Fluid.

However, need 2find & buy suitable tubing (aquarium tubing?) first...old one oledi hardened...
Then it's a matter of getting these ole hands "itchy" agin!!
Haha! tongue.gif
*
get another person to help you on brake fluid as you need to do proper bleeding.

oh and i just gotten some aquarium tubing too, 50cents 1 meter XD
gonna spray high temperature paint on it, looks better and maybe can prolong its life... and yes mine already hardened + darkened... slipped off the spray nozzle that other day and i was wondering wtf happened to my windscreen water sprayer... turns out the water all spraying inside the engine bay as the tube came off doh.gif doh.gif

shocking.gif it's only 50cnts / meter and you want to paint it to prolong its life ?
I'll get a new one. Its not like you need to change the fluid every week / month ?
*
i already got the paint for my rims/ATF oil sump, might as f***ing well right?

+ black tubes look awesome compared to brownish darknened aquarium tiub that was originally transparent

Just sharing, RON97 on my car

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

RON97 is more km/liter
however RON97 is more RM/liter
which ultimately results in more RM/KM UNLESS your throttle habit damn good AND you advance your ignition timing/remap damn kao to take full advantage of RON97 (at that point if you continue 95, your engine will knock kao kao)

Perhaps a mix of both wld b a good compromise...?
Like some wld say... Best of Both worlds kinda of thingy?
cheers.gif

nope, it'll generally degrade to RON95+ (need to do some analysis before you can even say it is RON96 lol...)

But one thing is obvious, the engine runs smoother. no more jerking while high revving when going uphill.

The Popiah's engine has higher comp than Campro though, 11:1 as oppose to 10:1. I dunno if that means 97 would have more effect than a lower comp engine.

I am going to miss it when I go back to 95  sad.gif
*
may be knocking/pinging a bit la on RON95

and yeah, higher compression engine tend to favor (or even REQUIRE) higher RON ratings smile.gif
and yes, you're right higher comp engines WILL have better effect than lower comp engines (unless we're talking about turbocharged engines)

FYI: my iswara petrol tank label requires RON97 rolleyes.gif

When RON95 replaced RON92, the following was recommended (The Star article @that time) :

Mix 70% RON95 and 30% RON99 to "theoretically" give same Q as RON97...

So...if applying a similar equation, wat wld b a "good" mix now?
*
no need mix la, stay RON95. if you die die want to up the RON rating a bit for shits and giggles, get octane boosters.

remember, that article did say "theoretically"
and the star articles for fuel quality/octane ratings? doh.gif

if you want better reads:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Octane_rating

Yup, Bro... notworthy.gif
My ole gen saga also same as yrs...
Was using RON97 (till sold off) cos mech told me need 2reset ignition timing...with possibly consequent loss of power!
Not willing 2live with that cos mine was a 1.5Auto... sweat.gif

Now my 1.3 Gaga has label for RON95+ (plus)...
And the compression ratio is even higher than that Saga...
Downgrade to RON92? rclxub.gif
*
octane rating requirements is not solely dependant on the compression ratios la, if not mazda new skyactiv engines all con lan firm no need sell in malaysia whistling.gif
