Anyone had booked any hotels beside the 2 Luxury hotels to view the KLCC fireworks before. Im thinking of Maya Hotel for it's close proximity but not sure if the tower will block the firework view. any recommendation for the firework experience for this coming 2014.

view firework from maya ok... but heard that place a bit haunted and located near the graveyard.....

want nearer but not Man Oriental can try impiana klcc jln pinang... since firework based previously at menara exxonmobil.

from The Zon & Derby Park also nice view..

Impiana was totally block by the new grand hyatt.

I was at the Zon for the 2012 new year. Great view of the fireworks.

Can you see it from the Grand Hyatt? I have free nights there, I should try it otherwise it's RM900++ for new year's eve!

im thinking of impiana or equatorial . I think best to view is to go to the KLCC park . Maya seem to be blocked by the KLCC tower itself. Im not sure if Equatorial has a good view. Reason i chose impiana bcos it's half the rate from traders and mandarin and still 4 stars. what's your view?

Most of Grand View and suites have great view of it.

Equatorial was not in business anymore until further notice. If you stay at Impiana, you wouldn't see the fireworks unless you go to the park. Standard room at mandarin was city view, so no to fireworks. I believe Traders Room KLCC view was the best choice.

Edit : Tishaban mentioned about The Zon, might be good idea since the rates was better. How about PNB Darby park?

I tried my luck with Swiss Garden Residence last year - they gave me a room at 11th floor which was blocked by their hotel

Just managed to catch a little glimpse of the fire works.

Wanted to try Pacific Regency this year but gonna be at Grand Hyatt suite for my friend's special day

GH Suite was great but I don't like the decor much if compared to MO. Its too simple.

Window looks ordinary kind of window , it will be great with wide open glass window. i skip this one. i guess Trader is the only one but i place my money for impiana for distance. gonna walk a bit and enjoy the open air celebration.

The Zon is definitely older, but you can slide the windows open and watch unencumbered. We got a 2-bedroom apartment so we basically had 3 windows facing the park ie. the 2 bedrooms and the living room. For RM300-400 per night on Dec 31 2011 I can't complain

It's double the price now, almost the same price as Traders so not exactly a great deal anymore.

Yes its almost the same as traders now. Its a service apartment suite , i think they are inexpensive.

any idea hows the view of fireworks in klcc from PNB Darby Park suites? since thats only one avaialable in that area.

GH surely can see fireworks.

I book impiana klcc, just distance away fr the park. Better view in the park

Booked last minute in Impiana last year, got free upgrade to suite. Didn't expect that.
Parking full by 7 pm, have to leave the car with valet.

The shower/bath with transparent glass is somehow..

im not sure either. i thought everyone will be holding their breath outside the KLCC park. Where's the firework location in the first place.

idiots impiana hotels reservation.
i made booking in the middle of the year for nice view in KLCC online . i made payment as well. nobody seems to entertained my request for better view. today, i called in and they requested for extra RM 80 for KLCC views. this blood suckers really took advantage of it. their online details didn't categorized out this in my earliest booking. gonna cancel this booking.

what a scumback isn't it.. I made booking as early as middle of june and ask them to provide me the best view in my requisition. if they had replied back to me that time and informed me of this surcharge than i probably happy to accept its terms. now just when i remind them again, they wanted extra charges and no guarantee . They should have put this info in the online reservation surcharge to begin with. it's not the money im ranting but the way of taking of advantage . bad business ethic .

just check at the date of this post. in august i have already plan it. Now , it's not much different for me just book 1 hotel outside KL and take LRT down to KLCC. sigh!

impiana is the only hotel that didn't raise its price on NYE even when we made last minute booking.
mo/gh/traders price were > RM 1.5k per night when we checked then, regardless of room type.

Now the price should be already been jacked up for those places which is expected to have fireworks.

I have cancelled IMpiana hotel for their lack of professionalism.

I used http://booking.com loved this website because it allows you to book without the commitment of paying (but they do capture your credit card details as a guarantee for no show) and sometimes they even throw in free cancellation if you cancel about a week before. And its always about $1 to $10 cheaper than other sites.
