hi there.. i use the scratching thingy that's round and comes with a ball that can roll around it and a fluffy toy thingy..okay u prob dun understand me but u can get it from pets wonderland or ikano's pet safari.. laugh.gif

but u hafta trim the nails urself..just use a normal nail clipper..the trim the claws..and make sure u trim jus a lil so that it won't get the quick/red red part of the nail that will bleed.. tongue.gif

edit: oh and here's some notes i found on paws.org:
Why do cats scratch..
* To remove the dead outer layer of their claws.
* To mark their territory by leaving both a visual mark and a scent - they have scent
glands on their paws.
* To stretch their bodies and flex their feet and claws.
* To work off energy.
