My kettles and water jars are stainless steel but after a long duration of usage, rust begins to appear at the bottom.

slice 2 limes, squeeze in the water inside the kettle, no need hot water. leave overnight.

try salt thn boil it
and throw the water away...see if it works it works with wok |

based on my thermo pot manual, just use lemon juice, boil the water and pour out... boil plain water again... and rinse the kettle...
I think its mineral residue... I think its chemical reaction between water and steel... |
