It’s called Dota 2, by right it should have all the Dota heroes ported in. Dota 2 serves as 1:1 copy to Dota with added useful functions, minus the several differences in how the skills work due to Dota’s engine limitation (eg. Rubick’s ulti). This is something that’s understood by everyone.
I like how you present yourself as a well read person yet the exact opposite at the same time by answering your own questions.
>called dota2
>should have DotA heroes
>knows about
DotA engine limitationComing from a programming background, you must think a 1:1 copy is easy.
With the mechanics of unreleased DotA heroes; earth spirit, wyvern, pitlord, it must be very easy, im sure.
Especially when Valve can't base it off the WCE engine, and create their own Dota2's.

Dude, nobody’s complaining about cosmetics. I’ve bought a couple myself (roshan courier but traded it with something else) and trade stuff with other people. It’s the lack of actual content; you know things like heroes (and bug fixes)?
Dude, nobody's complaining about you. Its the community in general unless you fall under that category cuz I do.
Actual content? You seem like a well read guy, who would read patch logs, community info, game changes, etc.
So you should know about bug fixes they in most patches rite? Clearly you must know about this.
Lack of heroes? Again, you answered yourself in the same fashion in your previous quote. Otherwise, WCE DotA is there for you, all heroes and skills at your disposal. If you still doto.

We can only assume how Valve handled The International anyway so don’t simply say Valve got their money back in this TI and not that TI. Plus, Valve has other revenue sources to back them up anyway, from selling merchandises, cosmetics and other shit, not just tickets.
Yeah I only quit temporarily, it’s more of a sign of protest than anything. Game’s good and I don’t want to see it die so quickly just yet, that’s why I and other people criticize, in the hope of getting Valve’s attention.
And just to clear things up, I don’t care about Diretire, most other people thought it’s shit anyway. It’s more of about Valve’s incompetence on delivering and being a lazy ass than anything. Dota 2 is their biggest game yet, they should get things done more quickly. If they didn’t expect it to become like this then maybe they should've stayed away from making Dota 2. About the metacritic thing, I think it’s stupid and immature.
Valve have every right on how they handled Ti3. Its still a business, and they can profit as much as they see fit. But hey, its free rite?
If you or I end up buying some merchandise related items, its our own choice to support it.
And getting Valve's attention? Incompetence? Lazy? Biggest game?
Lol, ok, now I know you're a genuine new guy or just very very new to valve.
Just have to replace the words and references to Half Life and you sound exactly like a disappointed fanboy of HL2, hoping for the next installment.
Maybe you should try an petition this in dota dev forums, some HL3 guys will join you.
Valve's been fking with gamers for decades, so 1 or 2 or their whole community complaining about 1 game ain't gonna change nothing.
They're still a bunch of dickheads to me, but after their first few attempts to "listen" to the community on dota2 cosmetics, they've gone EA mode, all the way.
Valve's secret ARG message: Deal with it
