averagebryan: I'm not too familiar with 1/43 scale but I think HPI is pretty good for JDM. Other brands that are good is Spark(more towards european marques) and Kyosho is also quite good. These are kinda high end.

For cheap ones, I think Ebbro and J-collection is good. That said, cheap is pretty subjective. Lol.

Hopefully, 1/43 sifus can add more info.

Anyone going to KL motorshow? There's a GT500,BRZ and LFA there. Don't expect much supercars cause judging from the pics people posting its gonna be like another repeat of 10' lol.

Thanks for the tips bro. So far I've found some HPI, Kyosho, Minichamps, Ebbro, and J-Collection for sale. Saw some IXO ones for sale too. Is their quality okay? So far I like what I'm seeing from HPI, Ebbro and IXO. Many GT cars. tongue.gif

LEH1988: Happy 1st Anniversary! rclxms.gif 1st anniversary should capture whole collection la, just not one fraction. wink.gif
blu3hamm3r : What do you use to support your models? I don't want to use eraser as it will stick to the car and leave residue there.

Anyways, when GT5 came out, Citroen had their futuristic GT car for the game.
Now that GT6 is coming out and it's their 15th Anniversary, there are 15 brands that will be doing the same thing.
I'm already preparing my hands (and wallet) to grab the Mercedes and BMW one, if ever it is produced as a diecast.
How bout you guys? biggrin.gif

Skyline = Ebbro, Autoart & HPI
Evo = Autoart & HPI
Impreza = Autoart, J-Collection, HPI

In terms of quality/details etc of JDM cars, IMO

A - Autoart, Ebbro (on racing cars), HPI
B - Kyosho, Ebbro (on plain cars), Ixo, J-Collections
C - Vitesse

Price is not different much but HPI R34 is more expensive due to it's resin & very limited for some cars. If you like JGTC/Super GT cars, get Ebbro.

Thank you very very much for the detailed info and heads up bro. Was actually waiting for your feedback cos I was surfing through previous threads and notice you're a 1:43 JDM collector as well. I've already got my eyes on a few Ebbro models. Will be getting it next month lepas dapat gaji. biggrin.gif

As of now my focus will first be on R34 (plain type) and R35 (racing type). But it seems like R34 no matter what brand also price higher than normal. :\

Honda stand at KLIMS had these models for sale. The sales personnel said these are from Japan. 1:24 scale for RM122.
user posted image

I got one myself. From the box, apparently these are models made to show colour sample to customers. They are not die-cast, but plastic model with friction motor.

Seems a bit expensive considering it's not metal, but then consider the fact that there are no CR-Z models that are this size, I think the price is fair.
