difference between mk6 and 7 is minimal. only the audio system is upgraded to touchscreen.

golf is a good car to be modded.

if u like to mod cars is a wise idea to save rm 60k and get a used mk6 gti ?

Actually the fabric tartan seats is an icon that is associated with the Golf GTI. Started off from the Mk1 design. Even the Polo GTI has those tartan fabric seats.

For me actually i prefer the tartan seats, for sweaty people like me leather seats are a turnoff sad.gif

Tradition is one thing but leathers do give a sense of premium despite of its drawbacks. I think half-leather, half-fabric seats should be a good compromise.

Thats why VW sells both variants now, you can choose between the leather and fabric seats in the Golf GTI Mk7.

Erm i mean mixed leather-fabric in one car. As in, fabric for the parts in contact with our body (butt, back) and leather for the non-contact areas (door panels, sides/back of seats). That way, one isn't "forced" to choose one variant over the other.

But 210k , you can choose a lot of cars in the market

Mercedes Benz A200/250 sport which cost a little higher 10-20k i think

Then BMW 125i ?

Renault clio rs 200 ?

Also why volkswagen ? any reason you insisted this ?

I do see a lot people tune their golf easily , maybe thats the reason ?

1) Golf GTI Mk7 is cheaper than the A250
2) Golf GTI Mk7 is more powerful than the A250
3) Golf GTI Mk7 is a lot more comfortable than the A250 (the A250's suspension is too harsh)
4) Golf GTI Mk7 is cheaper than the BMW 125i
5) Golf GTI Mk7 is more powerful than the BMW 125i
6) Golf GTI Mk7 is better looking than the BMW 125i
7) Merc A250 is the best looking among the examples you gave
8) Golf GTI Mk7 uses the 6-speed wet clutch DSG which has been proven to be reliable and better

* in terms of power and handling, the Golf GTI Mk7 is better on the track and can set a better time compared to the A250 and 125i.
