You sure boh, ur management spoken to TM!
Last time I go ask for friend staying in flat, they only need 20 confirmed Unifi10 subscribers.

Now I'm try to get for landed properties which is also impossible unless it is in some ulu kampong. doh.gif
*
The management run by ytl is trying make our life hard le. They cannot promote the unifi.

sad news,

for anyone stay in Bandar Tasik Puteri, Unifi will available until Emerald & Country Homes get the service. expect for 1-2years delay after both place got the service cry.gif

i ask TMPoint Titiwangsa for the 6th times.
*
Seriously Country Homes will have unifi? Even Rawang most parts don't have yet, so I am told.

There are plans to have Unifi even in Perlis, but nothing at Bandar Tasik Puteri yet. I don't understand their logic.

May i know any expansion plan for unifi out of Ipoh Area ?

Menglembu; Ipoh, Perak. yawn.gif

TM Contractor dare not even promise it'll have in 5 years time. Answer given was long time moar..

So forget it. Even the city business centre and old town another 5 years only has chance of seeing it, suburbs like Gunung Rapat, Pasir Putih and Menglembu...

Demand: I was looking to upgrade to Unifi for a while. The worst part is, just down the road, there is Unifi coverage, but then when it turns onto my street, its unavailable. There's a cutoff point, and some houses can receive Unifi coverage, but the rest aren't eligible.

Since Unifi is unavailable, so is Maxis Fiber or Astro either. Basically, stuck at using 3G/4G Modems with insane quotas such as a measly 10gb a month for 160rm, with 5gb addon being 50rm extra. All they need to do, is basically increase the ports or increase the length of the fiber slightly. It would be so insanely easy to extend the coverage to the rest of the street...

The HSBB rollout seems to have halted. There seems to be more plans for coverage expansion in 2014, but specifics are unavailable: http://www.thestar.com.my/business/busines...d-deliver.aspx/

Note that this press release is dated Oct 2013.

The aim for HSBB2 for general population in urban areas is just 10mbps as mentioned in The Star.

That is when the project completes in 5 years time by 2019.

Telekom Malaysia to upgrade 400 exchanges under RM3.4bil high-speed broadband rollout plan

PETALING JAYA: Telekom Malaysia Bhd ™ will upgrade as many as 400 exchanges nationwide under the country’s RM3.4bil phase two high-speed broadband rollout referred to as HSBB2.

“HSBB2 is an extension of that and an additional 95 exchange areas would be converted into this next generation network. Our commitment is to complete this over a period of three years,” he said at the launch of TM’s three latest initiatives, My1Hub, Iskandar International Gateway (IIGW), and its first privately-owned submarine cable system, Cahaya Malaysia.

The HSBB2 plan consists of two parts under Budget 2014, of which RM1.8bil would be spent on expanding coverage in mainly urban areas, where the Internet speed would be increased to 10 megabits per second (Mbps). This would be made available to 2.8 million households nationwide.

Another RM1.6bil has been allocated to expand the HSBB to suburban areas, with the Internet access speed increasing to between four and 10 Mbps.

We'll be trailing others again by 2019/2020 with such speeds.

With TMnet known history of doing things, prices hasn't dropped since Streamyx was launched over 10 years ago.

That time RM66 for 384kbps.

In fatc it even got more expensive today and speeds have not been upgraded for almost a decade.

1mbps for RM110?

Thailand charged around RM60:

2011: 4mbps
2012: 6mbps
2013: 10mbps
2014: 13mbps

Singapore charged somewhere around RM150

2012: 50mbps
2013: 200mbps
2014: 1000mbps

Almost every year or 6 months upgrading packages speed at no additional charges.

Streamyx and UniFi?

Contract over straight away offer upgrade package speed and increase your monthly payment. Also renew your 24 months contract.
