Hello, I am a SEA player from Malaysia. Wondering which server should I go, because most of them are in Tonberry but Tonberry is full. Some recommended Masamune but it's legacy which makes me sort of didn't want to go there.

P.S. I have created 2 characters in Ifrit and might be playing there as a temporary player/permanent player. But if there are any other server with more crowd from Malaysia other than Masamune and Tonberry, I wouldn't mind switching.

Legacy servers meant there are players who have played FF14 Version 1.0 and many of them are far more advanced in the game than a fresh starting servers.
If you are starting fresh , it is best to avoid these players as it can discourage competitiveness.

But regardless the duty finder are cross servers , so you will still likely encountered them .

Well, I've been playing since EA and I'm not a legacy player. Though throughout the early stages up to now level 2x, I dont see much different.

There are tons of new players and new FC in Masamune server also most of the legacy players are really helpful. In terms of quest and what to do etc.

So IMO, legacy/new doesn't make much different though I have not reach the end game yet so it's alright.

Cheers.

I have a HUGE problem with these morons who are level 50 across multiple classes.

They are high level yes , few days ago I met an arcanist who has gotten atleast 10 other jobs at level 50 , and they were rolling " NEED " on everything in the instance in such a low level dungeon , I was shocked . And there is no way to votekick them or anything. Theres loot ninjas in every game but you can at least expel them , not in FF14 I guess.

Now you actually get roll priority base on your levels , not the role you queued for the dungeon. Yet these high levels tend to be a jerk and queue on their low level class.

It is like Square Enix is reminding you , if you are high level don't forget to bully and piss all the players in the lower level off by NEEDing on everything they want .

Oh this can happen in non legacy servers too , because duty finders are cross realm .

hmm you can queue with duty finder with one job and enter with the other? hmmm sounds fishy
i dont think roll priority is given to higher levels tho, i never get to roll on anything else for other jobs sad.gif

its not a huge problem ....its normal for that ...I mean even though their main class are already 50 ..but that doesn't mean their other class (cnj? thm?) are 50 also ...which is why the 'need' rolling

Unfortunately not for my case . I just happened to stumble across several morons who had 50s across the board and fully decked out , still needing everything ( and ffs won it ) .

Personally I queued for the [J] servers more frequently, Japanese players are on general more polite if you can read what they type . For example they will often ask before needing something.
I have had really bad experiences with the [E] guys so far .
