do u see yourself or ur wife purchasing more lenses for this camera? IMO no point getting an interchangeable lens camera if you will never change the lens. better get a smaller camera like sony RX100 or panasonic lumix LX7.

if you do plan to buy more lenses, then the NX1000 is not bad. do check out sony NEX-5R as well.

a quick note about AMOLED screens (like the NX1000's), the colours always look more saturated than it really is.
