wahhhh so far away.
anyway im started smoking pipe, but idk what's good tobacco for pipe. i want original tobacco, not those with flavour one.
i recently bough a corn cob pipe, idk what filter i should use, i bought bigben filter, but its too long to fit. filter apa best
*
You can try a couple of mac barren like those burley or virginia mixtures.. those are pretty good for the price.

Otherwise, if you are feeling luxurious you may try samuel gawith..

Corn cobs uses medico filters only.. I am a MM distributor, so I would have some for sale...

Hi Mr.Z i am pretty familiar with Mac Barren..i do tried the likes of Harvest, Colts, Drum, Golden Virginia and West before. My own preference would be mac barren. for a start, i would recommend you to try the Aromatic flavor. If you prefer something fruity, apple is the best as compared cherry or grape. you can even try Rose too, but for me, the smell of rose is too strong, and over the period of you using it, you may get sick of the smell.

Thanks for your feedback, will definitely go try getting one soon.

Want to have something more portable other than my pipes.

I only smoke original tobacco on my pipes most of the time, with the occasional aromatic. Trying to recapture the flavour or blackstone cherry. haha

Been smoking ciggies previously but shift to RYO as it taste better.
brought my 1st starter pipe yesterday at kamelah tobacco house..
got a few questions to ask sifu sifu here..

1) how to light the pipe tobacco? For every puff I need to light it once, it goes off easily, any special technique?  rclxub.gif

2) how long can i smoke for a bowl of tobacco? Will it damage the wall of the bowl itself? & how often I need to clean the pipe?

3) Search online, other people mentioned for every one pipe they smoke average 2 bowl per day, after that they will left it in between 2-3 days for it to dry off. I dont quite understand why is it neccessary?

4) How often I need to change the filter?
*
You need to pack it tight enough to keep the ember continuously burning. Combine that with airflow and you ll have a little campfire on the top.

Its inevitable that you may need to relight it occasionally especially true for beginners, so dun be disheartened if you need to light it often. It takes practice.

As the poster above mentioned, pipe tobacco is quite damp and full of moisture, hence the need to let it dry between 2 - 3 days. Some pipers, like me, have a couple of them as spare.

If you dry your tobacco too much, the ember will be unbearably hot and you ll lose quite a bit of flavour. But it will light easy and stay lit easier.

If your tobacco is too damp, the tobacco will be cooler and contains more flavour, but generates more moisture and difficult to stay lit. So the skill is to balance the tobacco's moisture level.

Enjoy your pipe.. Been smoking couple of years but can't say i know it all.

Hey guys, i usually do cigarette, now i wish to try cigar. But i dun have any other places to get cigar. Only 7-11 here, any recommendations for newbie? Usually do Marlboro Ice/Menthol, winston mint and pall mall mint.

Go embershoppe, their staffs are friends and helpful especially.

They will help you with some good recommendations.

For a cheap but better quality one, i think Punch and Partagas Serie D are both pretty good. If i m not mistaken they are less than RM50/stick.

hmm..although smell like coconut milk but doesn't taste coconut milk. A bit rough then macbaren ori, personally feel the taste like winston red.. tobacco leaf for black devil more dryer then macbaren ori.
Never try the mac baren chocolate yet, but shop owner introduce Van Nelle as many people buy it..

Ok I should give this black devil a try. Name sounds awesome. biggrin.gif

Where is this Jasema? I normally buy from Embershoppe or Kamelah MV, coz it is easily accessible to me.

I tried Colt Cherry. Not recommended. Tasteless.

hye guys..
i wanna start pipe cigar hobby..
may i know what type of tobacco should i pick?
any suggestion for a newbie?
and btw im quite a heavy shisha n winston smoker tongue.gif
*
You can start with aromatic like Macbaren Cube tobacco for pipe.

You might like it for its similar fragrant smell like shisha.

For cigar, you might want to start with something lighter like Romeo Y Juliet and slowly move up if you prefer stronger taste.

But of course dun inhale! Happy smoking!

Hahaha, you should give a try..Rm 15 per pack .. i compared the price with embershoppe and kamelah b4..normally they will sell more about RM1 or 2 than jasema. You may search Jasema enterprise TTDI in Google map or Waze. They have quite a lot of tobacco choices selling at counter there. Another Indian grocery shop I remember at Cyberjaya food court which near HSBC call centre, but i was visited last 6/7 yrs ago. Not sure still there or not.. biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif

Cyberjaya too far for me bro! biggrin.gif

Will give this Jasema a try then.
