hello guys... i have 5D mark iii for a number of months for wedding videos, i have been using it awhile, i can say it is superb camera. but it has its limitation when its not hacked....such as overexposed or underexposed, which is REALLY annoying. also focus can be an issue (simply because live event is fast pace). Especially for a single videographer like me, recording that perfect moment can be really difficult when you have to rush through the shutter and aperture..... i believe BlackMagic is less prominent when it comes to overexposed or underexposed....

anyone have ever use BlackMagic camera for live occasions? is it better than HDSLR? its still a new product, no friend of mine is using BlackMagic yet. Share your thoughts here for those who own BlackMagic Camera.

PS:im planning to buy blackmagic pocket simply because it takes forever to edit raw, unless client willing to pay more for the result.

1. use manual exposure for video
2. get a rig with follow focus mechanism installed
3. with the right aperture and understanding of where the DOF is, i don't see how manual focusing is a problem. LV is enabled anyway.

i have all the high end equipment for the rig... it surely fits for production purpose...for live event is a huge rig can be a challenge. i use monopod + camera cage + monitor + follow focus + light

btw, i need a little advice on DOF....how do i achieve deep focus DOF? besides adjusting aperture. shallow depth of field can be an disadvantage sometimes..... what lens do you recommend? Tamron SP 24-70mm Di VC at the moment for video recording....
