I don't compare - it might motivated u, but it might also do the opposite (at least sometime), this is what I've learned..

my friend often tell me which guy in the gym is big bla bla. I was like meh.. not trying to disdain on those guy, just logically they can be as big as that because they are big sized guy in the beginning..

I won't train then compare how many guys I've surpassed in the gym for size ; I'm proud enough if I hit my max.. u know naturally we do have limit..

train for ratio, not size.. bad English, sry ~

agree and disagree...
compare is bad...never do that...i did that too, like when my friend said, wow this guy body so yeng...i was like mehhhh too...just because i know what i wan...
bodybuilder don't need motivation, they need commitment, fall in love with iron, get what i meant? motivation only a little spark that ignite you,how well you will burn it's depend on how you do after...
yes, just hit to the max,but maybe you can hit more than just 'max' you know? sometime you don't know the hidden potential of yourself...
believe in yourself, don't limit yourself, always go harder than you think you can...Fail 1st Win later...
and don't aim only for 1 thing...like upstair sifu said...train for size, strength and ratio/aesthetics...lot of my friend only wan their body look nice, don't care about strength and other thing..lets presume after they hit what they target for...then they stop workout for like weeks or month, guess what, their muscle will gone after that...this is what i've learned...

something off topic to share here...after weeks of gym,now i finally know the important of Legs exercises...my legs shake like dupstep wooble bass while doing Barbell Bent-over row...

sorry for bad english too tongue.gif and i'm kind of 'over sharing' person hope ya don't mind tongue.gif hehe

You both should be more sorry for your bad English than you are now and start improving. I have a headache.

haha, you could just stop reading and dont give a shit...
or you can just stay with your 'sarcasmic' attitude...
a bad english person can understand from both bad and good english person...
a good english person can only understand from another good english person?
so does that just made a bad english person are actually smarter than good english person??? how irony...
just sayin tongue.gif

Or just plain bad manners. It's not like you didn't learn it in primary school: capitalization, punctuation - the basics.

Can't write well? Just stick with basic English structure you learnt in school, no one's gonna fault you for trying.

Is there such a phrase as 'a bad english person'? I'm sure your primary school teacher would be sad to hear that. Show that you didn't bother to put in effort.

It's a community health forum for goodness sake.

You have good intentions to share, but in order to do that you gotta learn at least basic proper English structure.

And understand this is a public forum. People flame you for way less than what you did, especially here.

In b4 sarcasmic. This word should be included in the language lol.

got it bro xDD

The ugly truth lifting is a vanity endeavor (u though it's a sport?) . Most lifters r eyeing the next guy and trying to b the baddest guy in the gym.
Notice the mirrors and how most lifters r admiring themselves, even the skinnies r working out in compressions shirts.
Btw i consider myself a lifter oso although I don't have big guns

I see it with a different approach, more towards science. Doesn't mean that I'm interested in wearing a lab coat. People like cars so you ask them to be a mechanic? What if those people just like driving one? Don't be too narrow minded.

I don't really compare myself with others. At most, I would just ask them for advices. I could workout at home if I have the luxury of space, I don't join a gym just to show others how I workout. I certainly don't aim to be the biggest in the gym, I'm just trying to improve how I live and for once have the confidence to take off my shirt without shame (yes, I've have this issue all the time). Everyone have different goals.

I know what you said is true for some, but since you asked me specifically, I'm just voicing my goals.

well said sir...
