Just wondering, NFC cant transfer big file right? so if i want to use the lens separately, like one facing me, at the same time seeing the phone screen, is it possible?

RX100 sensor is 1 inch, twice as big as the 1/1.5 in 1020
Z1's sensor is 1/2.3, very common in compact digital camera.

yes. it is not easy to insert a big sensor into a thin device like Z1, as you can see the 1020 is thicker, and there is a camera bump as well.

from the sample comparison above, the 1020 is clearly better, maybe sometimes z1 is better in certain condition, but overall, Z1 is still better. it has better screen, more open operating system, better desgin imo, more resistant to elements, faster in processor.

i see one downside for Z1 though, at 169g, it is quite heavy for a 5inch device...

for me, the bezel in Z1 wont minus mark, but if the bezel is thin, then it would add mark

haiz, the screen is really a deal breaker if they didnt put the ZU screen

unless im recording video, i prefer using 4:3 as well.

can't blame him, since the Z1 is so good in all aspect, but the viewing angle is really a drawback...


look at the Sony logo, the one in the mini is smaller, looks like a photoshop resize only ..

Even though viewing angle is not practically useful, but it is more like a design, it is subjective at times. when you see the white grayish just by turning it a little, a lot of people will get depressed.
you see, this Z1 is a flagship, everything is superior, camera, design, processor, durability even the speaker got improved, but instead the screen is still not as good as the previous Z ultra.
i mean sony should not make such mistake in a flagship device, the best of sony should get better, not worse.

im not sure if it's stereo, coz i watched a hands on video from eprice, the people said the speaker is very good, can compare with htc one, just that it is facing the bottom, so you have to use ur hand to redirect the sound

the QX100 is high end specs, the original RX100 is like 2.3k if not wrong. and ppl buy QX lens is to pair with their existing phone, so can edit or share instantly, and can take selfies better, and it is detachable, so it solves a lot of angle problem

you can pair with any device with wifi, just that you cant mount on the device if it's too big

as he mentioned in the video, the viewing angle is not as good as HTC One, but brightness is better than HTC One, maybe some would prefer the Z1 because they always use it outside.
Have to admit the viewing angle is not great, but it is not that bad from the video, at least not a deal breaker i guess.. though i think sony SHOULD use the best display in their flagship

he should change the wallpaper to compare the viewing angle ...
and Z1 is really snappy...

so far, most of the sony phone, including high end, mid range and low end i saw and used have good build quality. the same cannot only be said to apple, not other brand..
