pay extra RM200 - 300 and you get 1 week+ of extended e-penor length
some people is willing to pay to do that... but for me, better not la. learn from my past mistakes already. show off for 1 week +, in 1 month time you see there's plenty of the same model around, and you see the price will make u feel a sudden pain in ur pocket. (unless u real rich) |

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Sep 20 2013, 02:47 AM) hmmm. they didn't list the battery life as a disadvantage. i guess it not bad but could be much betterand good to see the screen is finally out from the disadvantage part for a sony device seems there's really no headset as well. not that i mind, i got a better headphone for music, but i expect one for a expensive flagship device. QUOTE(acid427 @ Sep 20 2013, 03:30 AM) Um, from what I heard. - Once u tear it off, warranty will void. - easily scratched - To replace the shatter proof film will cost u around RM1k+, because it come with screen panel. Cannot replace the sheet alone. So, must put another SP to protect the shatter proof film. QUOTE(Andrew_1980 @ Sep 20 2013, 03:33 AM) Don't give fark to Sony, anti shatter just a piece of SP just a little hard than normal SP, why need to change whole screen? Nah, Sony so basicly its a sp which will void the warranty if u remove it. so why so much hate for it ? y would some1 remove it purposely before the warranty end ?This post has been edited by ZeneticX: Sep 20 2013, 03:35 AM |

gsmarena give good ratings for the screen. it's not the best, but definitely better than XZ and also better than some other competitors. but they're also aware of the current issue
QUOTE A word of warning is due as we've been getting a lot of user reports that not all Xperia Z1 units out there have the same quality screens. It seems some of them come with panels, which have the same properties as the one on the Xperia Z. These of course, may be pre-production samples or as conspiracy theiorists suggests, leftover panels from the Xperia Z production line. Whatever the case, have this one in mind when you are picking up yours. so i guess for those who wanna buy the phone soon in coming weeks. best to go to a shop with plenty ready stocks and test them yourself. |

and i noticed gsmarena wasn't particularly good in reviewing the camera... where are all the night / low light shots ?
and it seems almost all reviewers missed the handheld twilight mode, they don't even mention about it |

QUOTE(lilzany @ Sep 20 2013, 09:06 AM) disappointing. maybe because of the x-reality? gonna turn it off for browsing and check it out later. that's why i can't figure out why so many people don't like it. is it because of the SONY wording ?I have to believe they put it on purpose. while it is removable it sticks pretty damn hard and imo it probably acts as a waterproof safety check. |

read some comments from gsmarena's battery test. it seems the poor browsing time of Z1 is because of chrome mobile. gsmarena method of testing the phones is use the stock browsers in the phones
according to one comment QUOTE Web browsing time is betrayed by Chrome Mobile, I know because when I start to browse on it, specially if there's a lot of images on the page, even my phone gets pretty hot, like I was gaming hard on it, and the percentage starts to drop fast. I seriously don't know why they use Chrome, but moving from it does improve the battery life. Video playback is probably display thing, Sony's handsets do play a lot of video codecs out of the box, and most of them via hardware, so I don't think it's lack of optimization. Most likely display. can't help but agree with him. right now im using chrome on my s3, and it's pretty hot now |

QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Sep 20 2013, 09:52 AM) Actually people like or dislike a brand is nothing related to a brand. bro i think u misunderstand my statement... i was referring to the shatter proof sheet. not saying y so many people dislike it because of SONY the brand Example myself, I give up Sony after give a chance due to below few basic things where it is easier handle but Sony didn't do it.

QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Sep 20 2013, 10:16 AM) Oh, sorry, my bad then, Haha! it's ok at least we get to know your point of view. as for me im just starting to get boring with samsung, now im going back to sony after 4 or 5 years, the last sony phone i had is SE W910i back to the old days.Anyway above is my reason why I feel sad about Sony. Sony want continue grab people heart and be top, still a lot Sony did doing it. already tried HTC before changing to samsung, and same as your view towards sony, can say i've given up on it. although htc one did impress me a bit, but i just don't have the heart to buy another htc phone |
