really interested in Z1 but i still dislike the display panel... still have poor viewing angle
triluminous display is gorgeous but on a lousy display panel which contribute to poor viewing angle

I'm just wondering whether the Image Quality would really be as good as the RX100 or not since the sensor and lens (and I believe Image processor) are quite similar

The NFC is just for quick pairing and auto turn on the lens.
For those who don't have NFC will have to manually turn on the lens and manually connect with the lens via the apps

If you don't have, yes u need connect the lens manually every single time via d PlayMemories app

iphone also can use what.. as long as ur wifi still can use.. use your wifi to search the lens.. not both connect into same wifi..

haha just abit hassle than having NFC... who know next iphone 5S has NFC 

I took alot pics with 20MP actually then forgot to bluetooth over back to my own phone. Only managed bluetooth the early batch photos.

So I am really interested to see how low QX100 can go. But then again, RX100 don't have Wi-Fi

RX100 sensor is 1 inch, twice as big as the 1/1.5 in 1020
Z1's sensor is 1/2.3, very common in compact digital camera.

yes. it is not easy to insert a big sensor into a thin device like Z1, as you can see the 1020 is thicker, and there is a camera bump as well.

from the sample comparison above, the 1020 is clearly better, maybe sometimes z1 is better in certain condition, but overall, Z1 is still better. it has better screen, more open operating system, better desgin imo, more resistant to elements, faster in processor.

i see one downside for Z1 though, at 169g, it is quite heavy for a 5inch device...

thinking to get 2 docks... one for office... one for home... hahahhahaha
