QUOTE(neo0915 @ Sep 6 2013, 05:36 PM) Somehow, comparing ur photo that taken yesterday with the reviews 1, ur photo is way better than the reviews 1. Need to hands on myself then only know whether is it really tat bad as stated in the review. i think the photo quality depends on the firmware version those that were taken by jloi should be the latest version whereas those by the review sites could be from a while ago xperiablog reported photo quality from different firmware version - http://www.xperiablog.net/2013/09/05/sony-...ware-revisions/

QUOTE(jloi @ Sep 7 2013, 10:27 PM) personally i think the bezel just nice..because u know la they wanna clip the QX lenses ma Agreed Bezel too thin can be a prob - unwanted input from the edge of the screen

But Sony uses VA on their Bravia TV too I think the reason behind is the better contrast on VA panel
For me most important is the heads on viewing experience, why bother about viewing from different angle since ur phone is considered a personal device
People do judge the quality of screen based on viewing angle but I beg to differ.

I have a feeling Z1 is released to address all the issues faced in Z (supposingly an improved version of Z, like how HTC refreshed their Butterfly to Butterfly S and so on)
The real deal, will not be available until next year

QUOTE(jeff10012003 @ Sep 10 2013, 04:30 PM) camera performance is a must. seeing the zoom from sample picture, it would be great. loudspeaker, hope the dedicated walkman chip does it work. some more the large grill, i hope the sound would be the best. battery life im actually doubting it would last long. even now my Z already eating battery life, being lasting for 1.5 day. later with 3000mAh, plus the 1080p screen, it would maximum go for 2-3 days in long term. that is being a heavy user like me. viewing angle is no problem, like Z before, this is an early firmware. later on sony will improve like the current Z firmware, where everything has almost achieve perfection. ur Z can last u 1.5 days? most of my friend's smartphone need recharging everyday lol

QUOTE(ckchan @ Sep 11 2013, 10:32 AM) not sure about all these camera spec. but what i found is aperture size: IP5s - f2.2 Z1 - f2.0 so f2.2 is bigger right? what does this means actually? what the advantage of having bigger aperture? sensor size: Z1 - 1/2.3" IP5s - increased by15%... so how big is it? with bigger sensor means capturing more light??? sorry, noob in photography Z1 is bigger bigger aperture means more light can pass thru the lens hope this helps:
