If Sony had just put a slight bigger screen say 5.1 or 5.2".

i don't think nobody will ever noticed nor complaints about the increase in size, thickness, bezel, weight, etc.

Thin bezel make the screen look bigger.

Bezel too thick will eventually affecting viewing and it look smaller than it suppose.

yes seriously. compare with ZL this phone 12.4mm longer. that is quite substantial...but the bottom flap of the ZL kills me off and ended up I would prefer the bezel.

i remember the old Xperia X1, it's small with qwerty keyboard, small annoying screen but pretty heavy for it's size.

well, at first when i saw those leak blurry pic, i too tot it looks terible with the thick bezel...

after seeing clear hi-res pic, it looks much better than i initially tot. some said the extra bezel is to accomodate the larger 1/2.3" camera. if this is true, have to sacrifice some to gain some la...


well, still need to get a hands on to get the actual feel of the phone itself.

yeah... i tot so too... too light give me a feeling of hold a toy phone...

that's y i don't really like samsung phone. they make it light and with plastic. it's actually good in the sense that it's easier to hold with the light weight. but plastic+light weight makes me really feels like holding a toy phone. no solid feel at all...

for me, the bezel in Z1 wont minus mark, but if the bezel is thin, then it would add mark

For those that though Sony going to use the same awesome panel use at Z Ultra will going to disappointing this time!

Z1 and Z Ultra is using a different screen panel.

Below is the article that let me decide checking more on the panel use in Z1 as I get shock after seeing it 2nd time. 1st was the comparison video I post previously.

^^ That's it! the Z1 is not that great after all.....i'm sold on Ultra now. i dont care it's a phablet nor i would look for smaller phone again (my Ray work just fine up to this date, it's just too hard to find the exact size for replacement).

the more i see XZU, the more i keep remember it.
