Now Everyone Can Buy At Yahoo! Japan Autions!

Few weeks ago i was so obsessed with a toy figure that was a limited release by a japan web store. tongue.gif So i go round and round and under a nice chance, i was introduced to Buyee by the popular japan middleman Yokatta Shopping Service after they failed to get me my item.( Seriously those guys and cool! They rather help me than protect their business rclxms.gif )

So what is Buyee?
In short they are a middleman company that provide a web platform(english) for people outside Japan buying at Yahoo!Japan Auctions. They help you to bid, pay, and deal with the seller at Yahoo!Japan Auctions. And everything is done automated, with email notification. For more information you can see JusthungryReview

How it works?
First, you'll need the usual sign-up, filling in shipping address, and setting up payment method. And then you're good to go! biggrin.gif
Then, just type and search the item,
or go to Yahoo!JapanAution, find the item you want, copy the url, and paste it back at Buyee's search column. It will then bring you directly to that item.
After that it'll be like normal auctions, place bid, wait for win, pays, and ship.

I strongly advice you to read through ALL the user guide HERE , before you proceed with anything

How To Pay?
You do not pay directly to the seller at japan, instead, Buyee help you pay them, and you pay to Buyee. They provide
-Paypal (Recommended)
-VISA
-MasterCard
-JCB

Reason why i choose Paypal is because all the transactions will have no additional charges (Some creditcard might have charges for foreign country bill), One time only authorization(when you first set up payment method Buyee will valid your paypal account), slightly lower conversion rate than local creditcard, no headache when bidding(i will explain in below)

How They Ship
EMS, or UPS
Combined shipping is also provided. Below is my Bidding history length
11/8 - Bid won, directly made payment
13/8 - Seller at Japan receive payment
20/8 - Parcel arrive at Buyee's warehouse. Made shipping payment
23/8 - Parcel arrive at my desk!
Attached Image
So it took me around 2 weeks to get my parcel. Acceptable timing thumbup.gif

Thanks mohk for updating. Now only the final cost will be billed after successful bid win

For every successful win auctions, Buyee will charge a
-200Yen Payment Fee (Help You To Pay To Seller)
-10% Of Your Item as Service Fee (Lets say you won a 4560Yen item, they will charge you 456Yen)

As for shipping
-shipping fees from seller to Buyee's warehouse will be bare by you (Normally 400-600 yen, depends on the seller's location)
-International shipping(To Asia) fees Minimum 1100Yen for item below 500g, rate increase as weight increase

When doing Package Consolidation,
-Grouping two packages together: 500 yen
-Grouping more than three packages together: 1000 yen

So i advice everyone to use their Simple Estimation Tool to calculate the gross of the total cost! biggrin.gif

What Is Good About Buyee In My Opinion
-Fast reply in email. Almost in same day reply will be given from support. Bad thing is your question will not be handled personally, you might see different people follow up with your questions

-Able to adjust the declared value. Before you pay the shipping fees. You can edit the declaration that is going to show at the parcel
You can change
-Declared Item Type
-Declared Item Description
-Declared Value
So it gives you the ability to change the value of the parcel, which might help to escape custom tax. thumbup.gif

So i am saying this might be nice for finding special item that is lelong at yahoo japan autions, but due to the heavy shipping fees,
it might not suitable for buying and resale

Final Disclaimer: I Am Not Promoting Buyee.jp, nor do i agree buyee.jp is the best way to buy from Japan. I am simply sharing my story here cool.gif CHEERS!

Why don't you try a new buying service Sendico.com? Fixed fee for only 1000yen per purchase, no bank fee, fastest work process, fastest packaging/consolidation/sending! I fell in love with them, really thumbup.gif

i used Buyee service many times with my credit card. it will only charge you if you win the bid. not everytime u hit the bid button.

and i dont prefer paypal, it take another 3% charge on top of the total amount from buyee.

Oh thanks bro... I checked buyee estimate tool and its quite expesive for bulky heavy items. I might go with local middleman service here in lowyat for those but for small I items can use buyee no problem

My recent experience with BUYEE.JP TENSO japanese buying service is awful. What can I say about them is only they are fraud scammers. I received damaged items I bought on Yahoo auction using their service, they haven't provided any additional packaging besides seller's one, however I paid them for additional protective packaging. Also they damaged my item during consolidation, sent it to me in such condition. When I asked them for partial refund they claimed that I have not proved their fault.
So, I DO NOT RECOMMEND using their service to anyone!

I advise not to use Buyee. Although they are only a middle man so to speak, they do not allow you to post positive or negative reviews of the items, they protect the seller only, and if there is a dispute they blame google for a translation problem. Recently I purchased an N-Scale Tomix Shinkansin model train. The listing said "New in the box unopened. so I purchased it for my grandson. the item arrived and the train was missing. I disputed it and they said "We are sorry for the mis-understanding but the problem was with the translation. Although the Seller should have said the train was not included, it was listed in his description (in Japanese) We are sorry that the translation was not complete. Now I have a new controller and 10 pieces of track that I paid 100.00 for....they protected the seller and I could not contact or post a review. This is a company without Honor or integrity....

I think Zenmarket.jp is a good and cheaper alternative to buyee.
They only charge 300 yen per item and you get to choose SAL shipping (cheapest option available).
And apparently they have a working relationship with FedEx hence their FedEx delivery can be even cheaper than the normal airmail or sometimes cheaper than SAL. But I'm staying away from FedEx due to their notoriety of collecting taxes for all parcel in Malaysia.

Bumping old thread. What post to use? Cheap and not too long? I bought something around 300g and still looking at zenmarket shipping testimony (they have records of select people).

Ems looks reliable only took 3-7 days but will cost me around 1400 yen. I also see many people using registered mail and receive in 1-2 week and sometimes only 6 days. Is this small packet SAL? Sal small packet only charge half of ems.

Any experience buyer care to share info? Tq in advance
