As referred above, I know there is many ways to change the window XP start menu.

May I know what is the easiest way to change it please? I am currently using window blind. What I want to change is not the entire start menu, is the text " Start " to some other word that I want.

Thank you in advance for those who help. sweat.gif

Hmm, appearantly all the three link will require me to use a third party program. Sorry that I didn't mention it earlier, what I mean by the easiest way to do it is something like changing the value or whatever is some places like the Registry Editor.

And the idea was just to change the text, not the whole bitmap image. Like I said before I'm using WindowBlind. rolleyes.gif

if you're using windowblinds.
just check your theme directory.
usually C:\Program Files\Stardock\Object Desktop\WindowBlinds\<your theme name>
from there look for startbutton image and edit it to your liking.
and afaik you can't change it using registry editor if you're using wb because wb using images to override windows theme. correct me if im wrong.

Now I know. Thank you very much ijat84. I found it but I don't think I'll change it now. The reason is I've got a animated Start button included in my WindowBlinds which mean if I did a changes to one of them I need to repeat the same step for more than ten times.

Yes I don't think by changing the registry editor will work as I'm using WindowBlinds. Sorry for my mistake earlier. sweat.gif

If Start Button is all that you wanna change, use TClock. It's created by a Japanese programmer but I don't remember the website. Try googling for it..

Thanks for the suggestion ayob99 but I don't think it'll work either simply because my WindowBlinds actually overwrite my default window.

Guess the only way is to modify WindowBlinds file. doh.gif

WindowsBlinds has its own visual style format and sends skins through wblind.dll instead of uxtheme.dll. So, it won't overwrite everything.

But the Start button is in the overwrite category right? Correct me if I am wrong. sweat.gif
