Just got my France Replica kit too =P
Surprisingly, the material isn't the same they used for the the premier league teams (ie. Arsenal Away 2013/2014). The material is not as "porous" as those, in fact, it's quite tightly knitted together. Maaaybe due to this, body heat will tend to built up but nonetheless, the material is still thin enough to feel cool running against the wind.
The material used this time also feels a little bit flexible as it can be stretch slightly, this should give you that "body hugging" apparel which really makes it feel like your second skin.
In the PI version, the cutting towards the waist is "concave" in nature whereas the replica ones has a rather normal shirt cutting.
The additional piece of cloth with white stripe and red stitches at the bottom of each side of the shirt is also absent in the replica version. I still struggle to understand the purpose of that extra piece of cloth. Visual enhancement, perhaps?
Though i must admit that Nike is a little bit lazy in designing the current France shirt but i guess credit has to be given to the texture of the material. They did make it looked like "denim" but the the rigidity of "denim" is absence. The color tone is also beautiful.
The thing that i dislike about the shirt is the seemingly large collar and also the "Cock". I do think that the shirt will look better with the current badge instead of opting for the retro "Cock" they used to have.
There are 2 buttons on the shirt. a white one which is located on the collar and the blue one along the placket but Nike only supplied an additional blue button but not a white one so one must be very careful with the white button but probably the white one is very common and can be found anywhere. If you see clearly the blue button, it's not just a plain blue button, it's iridescent in nature.
I still think the best France shirt Nike has ever designed for France is their Away 2012/2013.
I dislike the length, its longer than the previous authentic P2R. ive got the shorts from kitbag today...
