Ha ha. Yeap I usually use a tape to close it half already. So if i want to play a higher octave I just open the holes. So the tape automatically acts as a half hole closed.

i am not really sure also. i just know they sound better and is tuned better. it is pretty obvious when u try to play a sharp or flat key. it will sound out of tune.
but you can also use a cheap one which is not perfectly tune and try to change the positioning of the fingers to make it sound more accurate. that's what i usually do. i bought a yamaha tenor recorder.. it is really good. cost me around RM60. by the way the 1 we use in primary is a soprano recorder. |

QUOTE(ciwi1166 @ Sep 2 2013, 02:44 PM) i usually what i do is pull the head out a little bit. to go to flat...but if want to go sharp..then there is no way can adjust as shown in the picture below that's my way ...dunno if there is any official way to do so. never learn proper way in primary. never listen in class. so i just do what i think sounds right to me now. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by Recorder: Sep 2 2013, 03:48 PM |

ehm i am not really sure if it's use to tune..
cause i am in a orchestra band..most of the instruments like the clarinet kinda of similar concept...tunes in that area too.. this is a image of a clarinet.. http://www.google.com.my/imgres?imgurl=htt...Q9QEwAg&dur=727 so i just assume it's similar haha.. it does work for me |

QUOTE(cassiemissy @ Mar 25 2014, 01:33 AM) Nice one. Remind me of the days I tried to get the right sound out of my recorder. Didn't know it can produce such sweet sound. Like your covers!
