How is the exos perform?

I want to use exos since it is cheaper.

But worry about mix run/use with ironwolf.

I read in Synology recommend that running exos need to off the hibernate.

works well. they are enterprise grade disks, trouble free and workhorse.

Decide not to mix/run with ironwolf.

Cause after buy, if have problem, I can't do anything with the HDD. Risky. sweat.gif

Wow! That's alot!

I already run 2 ironwolf. Get another 2 to expand and standby to replace WD red. Which almost pass the lifetime.
*
How long you use your WD Red already ?

I run array of 8 set for 6 years 24/7, solid performance no issue. Satisfied. Attached with another backup system so I'll keep this running and still using for other use.

Pass 5yrs.

2pcs already down. And replace with Ironwolf.
*
Owh, mean you substitute the broken disks with IronWolf ? Like upgrade, or building entirely new storage ?

Which NAS box you use or custom linux based configuration? Some may have limit on size so check before committing to a setup.

Nice, very good NAS box and very stable low maintenance unit.

For custom and higher performance / bigger scale, there are other unix based setup can be made. Petabytes of storage are no issue.

House use only la.

Petabytes ? Not the NAS kill me. The HDD cost will kill me.  sweat.gif

Cost maintain of HDD is more expensive than the NAS.

Unless there is some income coming from the NAS. biggrin.gif

Just want to ask this need to setup a encrypted channel and provide them a private key to open the channel, am I right? But how do we make sure there is no backdoor will open? It could be like provision the VM to some Uni student for there testing and offer a affordable cost.
*
Can be both, encrypted and non (less secure).

Yeah like VM. But whats objective? If just VM session easy to deploy, they need high compute power?
