since u flying in and out... get the GST refund. thats another 5-6% off.

most things above S$100. toys included.

you need to check with the shop first and ask at the source to issue you a refund receipt. if u missed it.... than too bad.

this is my experience.

I bought lego from toys hunt (about 2 years back).

1) minimum receipt is S$100 (u need to check if still same).
2) when u buy it at the shop, ask if you can claim back GST (it is normally advertised on the entrance)
3) if yes, they will ask for your passport. (cannot remember if need to produce boarding/flight proof - so just in-case bring along).
4) after paying, they will also issue u a receipt that says "GST refund". (VERY IMPORTANT!!)
5) then enjoy the rest of your stay in S'pore!!!... and do more lego shopping!!!
6) when departing, u need to hand carry all those items that u want to claim GST refund. (counter located after immigration/check-in).
7) Yes, go earlier as there might be long line of ppl and have to look for counter.
8) look for "GST refund" counter.
9) at counter, produce the receipt and items for officer to check.
10) you will get a refund S$ cash ( minus 1% for admin cost).
