Hi guys. I was thinking of buying the tower bridge (210£) and tower of orthanc (170£) from the lego store in uk. With the tax refund it should be a bit cheaper. Should i buy it here or is it cheaper in msia?

QUOTE(mryellow19 @ Aug 31 2013, 01:13 AM) Hmm not sure about Orthanc, but for Tower Bridge you can get it below RM1k locally. So even at 210£ with tax refund is still a little expensive I believe. Anyway does Lego store in UK provide tax refund? Hmm thats a good question. I guess ill ask them when im there. If that is the case then ill prob buy the orthanc. Thanks for replying

QUOTE(mryellow19 @ Sep 10 2013, 11:14 AM) Ask the shop you're getting the sets from if they are able to issue you a notice of GST refund. Then bring that notice to the airport to claim back. I think it's something like that cause I haven't really tried it before. What I'm interested is if Lego store in UK will issue GST refund since Google didn't give much. QUOTE(Bigfoot-X @ Sep 10 2013, 12:20 PM) Wahaha. Hot Toys poison slowly seeping into your veins. Not sure if it's the same at all airports. When I got LV stuff in London, the boutique issued a notice/receipt/letter thinggie. When I got to Heathrow airport, have to look for a special counter for GST tax refunds. They wanted to see the product as well. I suggest if can get refund, go earlier in case of any queues. If you can do that for toys and Lego, please share. Would like to know as well. Yes you can get VAT refund from the lego store in uk as long as it it more than 35pounds. I got 50 from mine but it was suppose to be 70. Damn admin charge took 20 from me. At heathrow always go early if u plan to do the refund. always fill out the receipts first before u go. They may or may not want to see the products depending on how many people in queue (they didnt check mine). If you go shopping in UK, always ask for VAT refund regardless of what u buy. there is no harm in asking.
