QUOTE(bloodghost @ Sep 13 2013, 08:10 PM)
thanks for the tips of buying parts from BL notworthy.gif

btw, is the item condition (new/used) does matter for you guys?
*
IMHO what's more important is the seller.... Sometimes a "used" part is in better condition than a "new" part simply because of the way the seller handled and store the parts. If the seller dumped all the mixed parts together they will all get scratched so the new parts will not be perfect and shiny when it reaches you. And a "used" part where it was only built once and then dismantled for storage (and stored in proper sorting bins) will probably look as good as new too.

So how to find good reliable sellers? Well, the hard way is to learn from experience. The easy way is get recommendations from fellow LYN and BOMers. icon_idea.gif

Good afternoon AFOLs! biggrin.gif It's Tuesday but feels like a Monday eventhough I had to work yesterday.... doh.gif Can't get any better, get the Monday blues on two consecutive days! lol!

QUOTE(Caryane @ Sep 16 2013, 01:06 PM)
Good day brothers and sisters!

I'm back from Singapore, F------------K (censored)
My luggage is too small so didn't manage to haul a lot.

To be frank prices are not really that cheap after all, besides Town Square obviously.

But then again, i've only got time to go to Toyshunt. Next time around, i'll go check out toy brick station in serene center.

Thanks to all bro who furnished me with information and stuff!
*
Yeah, I only find Town Square cheap. Others are only a little cheaper than the reseller's pricing here so not worth the trouble to haul big boxes back...

Hi bro, where is the town square in sg u mentioned? Many collections besides good prices?

From my scouting mission looks like every major retailer is selling it at that price. It is a promotional item so don't know how long they will keep it at that.

Looking at the shop, could be selling at RRP? If it's cheaper then it's good for us!
*
Most likely selling at RRP, at best give 10% discount like BBT. Doubt gonna be cheap as the rental isn't.... Anyway, I think their target market are all the richbies and mat salleh who patronises the mall, not hardcore AFOLs who knows where to find cheap sets. brows.gif

All my #41999 from S@H & Amazon...Really have no idea how they distribute the stocks..
People always thought I have many sets.
Trust me, i have little only... biggrin.gif

Anyhoo...

Hope the new shop have discounts like BBT or rewards programme.....

It's a simple matter of perspective... For taikun with big house "little" means can fill up a medium sized condo or terrace house already. laugh.gif

actually if anyone has been to the shop can share if got ALJ sticker? I doubt its ALJ stocks, cos cannot be so many big sets only without the smaller ones kwa... ALJ dont work like that... Sure they force u to makan a lot of the smaller sets as well....

Also, BV II rental is not cheap. if self import, surely the margin need to be high to pay for staff and rental... but then again, its good to hope...  biggrin.gif
*
I have to agree, ALJ sucks at bringing in Lego Exclusives to our market. So this is either a parallel importer or ALJ themselves...

If owned by TLG then we would have heard of it in Brickset, the interior design of the shop is definitely not complying to TLG's boutique standard.
