2nd report.. rclxm9.gif
kingkingyyk got any news about Qualcomm Snapdragon 410?
*
It uses quad A53 cores. As far as I know, it is not faster than Krait. wink.gif
http://www.anandtech.com/show/7573/qualcom...-adreno-306-gpu

DMIPS/MHz
Cortex-A7 1.90
Cortex-A53 2.30
Krait 200 3.10
Krait 300 3.39

The current line up for dual core Krait is 1.7 GHz, that means A53 needs 2.3 GHz to get the similar single threaded performance. (Theoretically)

In another word, we can safely say A53 is a successor of A7. Don't forget there is a Cortex-A12 which is the sucessor of A9, it could be ended up faster than A53. wink.gif It is unlikely that Qualcomm will dump their Krait architecture too, because it has better power consumption management compared to A15 cores [which is not really suitable to put into a phone due to high TDP]. Therefore we might see :
Snapdragon 210 - Quad A7
Snapdragon 410 - Quad A53 / Dual Krait (64bit)
Snapdragon 610 - Quad Krait (64bit)
Snapdragon 810 - High clocked quad Krait (64bit) hmm.gif

I wonder how some phone makers can clock MTK 6592 to 2.0ghz.
And I heard that MTK 6592 doesn't support android 4.3 and above. Is this true?
*
Overclock. That SKU comes with 1.7GHz or 2.0GHz variance. The 2.0GHz is probably binned (aka cherry picked) chip.
Yup, Mediatek not yet release firmware. icon_rolleyes.gif

What do you mean by binned?
So if Mediatek release the firmware, is it bundled in the next update for the phone with mtk6592?
*
Because every silicon is different. Under same TDP, some can run at high clock, while some only can run at low clock. drool.gif
Those gem chips are cherry picked aka binned chip.

This is a way to reduce production cost as the manufacturer can happily sell them in 2 models.

For that firmware, it is up to the brand. hmm.gif

I would choose dual Krait over it. icon_rolleyes.gif
It has been a bad trend since the launch of slow quad cores. They are not as practical as strong dual cores. sweat.gif

Compared to the proven performer Snapdragon 801, the 4xA7 + 4xA15 has no match.
The high clocked Krait performs like a A15 with lower heat and power consumption. icon_idea.gif

The GPU has better performance too.

I'm using that phone with custom ROM (modified from Official 4.3). Performs well despite the age, even faster than the non-sense quad A7 phones. thumbup.gif

which mean it is consider an amplifier or converter for allowing the mobile phone to play 24-bit music? sorry of asking coz i couldn't found the answers via google
*
It is just codec. Then the data will be passed to DAC to output to your earphone.
But the WDC9330 has built-in DAC, so DAC is not needed. wink.gif

Samsung "really low" end phones use that.
