Q and A digital photo authenticity check, searching for this particular software

don't know where to post this, mods please move elsewhere if non relevent..
my client needs a software that could check authenticity of a digital photo sourcing from digital cameras. i'm not familiar with even one. i found veripic.com but is there anything that is already available locally?

the authenticity check should detect if the image had been photoshoped or tampered.. this is for a high level of security.. involving court evidence, police reports..

It is under the property "Creation Software" I resized my pic using Paint.NET 2.62 if you can see it from the pic

oh yeah.. good tip.. thanks..
but my client needs a software to tell the fact that its been tampered, without having to click properties one by one..
the software by veripic is suitable but i cant seem to find a regional distri.. how aa?

Unfortunately there's no way to tell besides your brain... and good tampering sometimes might fool that.
IF you had a Digimarc watermark on the image before this, then you can know who actually edited the image. But I suppose that isn't the case.

i think exifread is a good n simple app to use... thanks guys.. i'll demo to my boss today. actually exifread translates the regular property sheet:  into an interface where u could brouse folder contents with a just a click at a time. convenient i might say.. thanks for your help guys..

one more questionn..
what does EXIFR98 means?
i found out only UNEDITED digital images have this info. Is it enough to prove authenticity?
