So now comes the question on which is the bang for buck around the RM1500 budget. I don't want a Digital Piano but any other keyboards is fine with me. A sessionist family member of mine told me to get the best key feeling which MUST have the 'weighted keys' feature. I told him whats the point of getting a weighted keys if I ain't gonna play a Piano (or even buy one)

And another thing he pointed out, try to max the amount of keys available...61 just aint cut it according to him. Also he told me its be for me to get a keyboard with 48-bit sounds or something like that...I dunno whats that and he is not talking about the sound presets....Its like something to do with resolution of a camera...the more pixel is packed, the nicer the picture...

for the budget, I just want a keyboard, no accessories, nothing...I don't need other except the money goes purely to the keyboard...i dont need a stand, don't need lights (what is the purpose of the light for anyways) I just want it to have USB connectivity so I can save on my PC stuffs that I'm playing and better yet, all the presets, if my keyboard happens to have a small memory...

Your family member is right....Trust me...once you touch an accoustic or even digital piano, you won't want to go back to soft touch "keyboard" keys...there's force and power in controlling the keys...brings playing music much more emotional and enjoyable....i started with keyboard too, but once i got to play a piano, the difference is like night and day. Digital piano is best of both worlds...accoustic touch with the electronic gadgetry i love. You can get a digital piano for about 2K+...i suggest you up your budget a bit...or get a 2nd hand one. Btw, some digital pianos can set the value of resistance in the keys..like my Yamaha...smile.gif....so you can set the value lower as not to bang so hard on the keyboard to get louder sound if you're not use to it yet.
