QUOTE(Mea Culpa @ Feb 11 2014, 09:45 AM) This is normal for all LGE PASSIVE 3D panels. hmmm i thought that this effect only happens if you enable the 3d?This Sony (w8) uses PASSIVE 3D panel from LG, there is a FILM patern retarter fixed on top of the LCD panel. The horizontal gap between pixels is needed to properly or correctly register the odd and even lines of the polarizer, which gives you the 3D effect. im seeing a few units that have variance in them, some are prominent, while some are not. the one i have, i have got to sit at leaest 3 meters back to knock off noticing this. it only occurs on certain color, light blue for instance. the rest are perfect you cant see the imperfection. see attachment. do you have the 55 inch as well? if you load up windows 7 character wallpaper, the one with the cloud cartoon, you can see what i mean. |
