TS you feel such way because the current gen consoles is coming to the end of their life cycle, and also the the line between next gen & PC is getting blurred as well

just few days ago I built a PC rig for myself after almost 10 years
and it reminds me of the reason why I ditch PC gaming & embrace console gaming so many years ago
Hardware compatibility, drivers update, software installs, troubleshooting, and lastly... VIRUS, I just left my new rig unprotected with antivirus for a day while downloading my huge game library from steam, and end up with my PC hdds full of viruses
forcing me to do a clean wipe, format & install the whole rig again
then the wireless card acting up, flooding my whole network and jammed up everyone's internet access.
all those troubleshooting & fixing wasted my whole weekend.
then spend one whole night just to download Starwars MMO, then took forever to patch and load and tweaking for best performance

All those issues? you won't find it in consoles
console updates? game updates? no big deal
just leave it running and no need to worry if it's compatible or not, unlike PC gaming you need to download the patch manually most of the time.

PC definitely is superior in the graphic department, and console will be always a step behind as the HW aren't refreshed like PC every few months.
