so many type of keycaps.. @@ been browsing tru geekhack, found out about POM keycaps and diff type of PBT keycaps.

From what I read, POM should be less rough than PBT. But PBT have different type of surface too. Some rough, some less rough. Just comparing my stock Oni with Taobao PBT, Oni a bit smoother. I love the feeling...

I just said love the feeling, not love so much. I love my Filco, but end up sold because I want TKL. Get Oni, I realize I want Costar stab, so sell again. Likely wait Filco TKL, or else see what other alternative. Keycool seems like a good deal too. Some might say downgrade, but I want it that way.

The problem with keyboard and headphone, soundcard and DAC etc is there is no benchmark. I changed rig 3 times already. What's stay is all the hardware, except keyboards. It's all about try and try. Sigh... And cost me some amount for a poor guy like me. With all the money spent, I think closely get another GTX 670 for my SLI.

anywhere i can look for alu plate for poker2? i dont how to find at GH or taobao.

+1, well said. It's troublesome for ppl who are interested into something yet don't have the chance to see & try it before buying. Hence, rely heavily on reviews online to guess which ones suit us .

TKL is nice, i think wait for Filco TKL, keycool maybe good, but the warranty issue if there is any *touch wood*

Yeah, that's the problem with us. There's no mech kb shop, and only one audio shop. The good news is the audio shop at Kuching now under Jaben. But I think the test unit are lesser choice then their HQ. At least there's a choice.

Yeah, I think so. The problem is when I want to spend one go for custom, so expensive. But after I tried, go to hell expensive. I need something else. That feeling, I hate it. For warranty, as long it's not the PCB I don't really mind. Hehe... Maybe I should start funding for korean custom... Skip Filco and be patience.

Actually, I think it depends on whether it is lasered or laser with infills.

Cause for lasered with infill such as SS7G, poker2 and so on, the legends can get faded or dirtified very fast.

But the type on keycool or other china boards, it is quite durable.

But ultimately, you should only settle on either
Dyesub, doubleshot or blank

Those 3 got nothing to be worn off.

He means the texture different. And he prefers the less rough/textured one on ONI.

For me, I like the stock PBT on plum the most, so slippery (not oily) and soapy feel. Some said that they actually mixed Teflon into the pbt, hence the dry, clean and smooth feel of it.

I must be reading too much GH dy.....now my desire to get das keyboard is nearly gone....

Before it completely die though - anybody here can share review of Das Model S Professional - MX Brown (should be sold in 2013 - and has media keys).

What I really care about is reports about poor quality stabs. I hit the spacebar a lot....probably the most of any key...so that should matter...
