i despise sellers who use discriminatory pricing on the switch type, pui! red switch more expensive than other switch, when cost are the same, pui!

side note: it's a good thing, cause of the price i keep flat, i get business, cause their reds are more expensive

It could be the price given by the supplier/distribution is higher as well for Red.

Yar, the coating on the backlit keycaps will get worn out as it is used.

We normally prefer pbt keycaps even it isn't exactly backlit keycaps.

unless manufacturing the red needs some cutting edge technology to make which increases cost, the whole distro channel is at fault here

Ya, there are 2 choices for pbt.

One is shine trough the keycaps if the keycaps is thin and bright in color.

Another is the reflected backlit by the back plate.

i prefer glowing on the plate of the keyboard.

There is no fault in business, this is call market demand. There comes the marketing strategy of gaming switch.

This is all business minded strategy and I do not see there is any fault there even though I do agree that it shouldn't be higher price for MX Red as it is more on mass production for the switch as compared to the other.
