^^ Yea I share the same opinion. But most response from fans I read on blogs and news site is open to that idea.

I think there are players that Wenger already planned to buy but most of them waiting whether we manage to qualify for UCL. Now that suddenly everything bad happened as early as the first game he have to switch to his alternate plan which we currently see now. My opinion of course.

Newcastle United have rejected a bid from Arsenal in the region of £10 million for France international Yohan Cabaye, a source close to the Magpies has informed ESPN FC.
Cabaye, a £4.3 million signing from Lille in 2011, excelled during his debut campaign in England but struggled with injury last season. Nonetheless, he has been linked with a host of top clubs this summer.
The 27-year-old said last month he would be keen to join Manchester United if an offer materialised, while Paris Saint-Germain coach Laurent Blanc, though playing down talk of an imminent move, has confirmed his admiration for the midfielder. Tottenham and Monaco have also been credited with an interest.

However, it appears Arsenal are the first club to register an official bid, but ESPN FC has been told Newcastle consider their offer to be “derisory”.

Newcastle manager Alan Pardew said last week that the club had every intention of retaining the player.

“He is certainly not too good for us,” he said in the Daily Star. "Cabaye’s in a great place right now. You want to keep hold of your best players and he is one of the best in the world, in my opinion. He is a fantastic asset for us, has conducted himself in a very professional manner, despite all the speculation, and I admire him for that.”

Despite his reluctance to sell, Pardew accepts that -- having accepted a £35 million bid from Liverpool for Andy Carroll on the final day of the January window in 2011 -- there is the possibility of a sale.

“You are talking to a manager who has the history of Andy Carroll behind him, so you can never say never,” he said. “We are vulnerable to bigger clubs if they are really decisive and make a bid that knocks us off our feet. But that is not my decision. As the manager, of course, I want him to stay and have a fantastic season here, as our fans do.”

I mean why are the fans so worry about paying the players wages? Hey Come on, we are one of the biggest club in europe, why others club could play their player and why we cant?
This is a football club not a business hub, why do we need to store 100 over mil in the bank where we see this club starting to fall apart.

Arsenal legend Tony Adams believes manager Arsene Wenger is coming towards the end of his historic tenure and has put himself forward as a candidate to take over.

Adams still commands the respect of all Gunners supporters after his lengthy stint as the club’s captain, but his managerial record at Wycombe and Portsmouth did not suggest he was ready to take on the mantle at his beloved Arsenal.

However, the ambitious Adams insists he is ready to step into the breach if Wenger moves aside, even though he admits that the current Arsenal squad is not strong enough to challenge for major honours any time soon.

“To keep hitting the top four and qualifying for the Champions League is great, but there is going to come a day, and that won’t be far away, when Arsene leaves. One hundred per cent I’d like to be Arsenal manager,” Adams told Zapsportz.com.

“Of course my heart says, 'Yes, yes, yes', but my head says, ‘Can I win with this current team?’ My answer is no, I can’t and I am not sure anyone can.

“For a long time he has been a one-man band, but that won’t happen again. The next man appointed will be the head coach, not the manager.”

Adams has joined the chorus of Arsenal supporters who believe Wenger’s reluctance to spend big money in the transfer market is holding back the club’s ambitions, while he has also suggested the wage structure at the club needs to be reviewed.

“I know Arsene would not spend £25million on buying Bayern’s goalkeeper Manuel Neuer for example, no matter how much he might need a new keeper,’’ added Adams. “I think that is a great policy, but the club needs to restructure its wages spent, that is a vastly different matter.

“The club are paying in excess of £150million on wages but there have been a lot of average players on £50,000-a-week when the big teams now need four or five players on a lot of money. Arsenal do not attract those big players because of their wages structure.”

You know what ? The British media just simply link us with some player whether we are really interested with the player or not. Then when we don't sign the player, the media will say Arsenal fail to attract top player lah, AW kedekut lah, etc. ..... And yet some fans believe those stupid media and blame the club/manager/board, really funny. 

Reports suggesting that RM want to cash in Benzema, Di Maria and Ozil. and we are in for all 3! fuhh...
