soldado. i'm not looking forward to playing against him, he's a predator. i only hope that he's not yet settled into the PL as we play him in the next few weeks. or if he never gets settled into the PL, that would be better lol

ahhhh... since your last two predictions are reversed in real life, now you go for a draw? smart!

on a serious note, darren bent loves scoring against us, and is now on loan at fulham. we always have a difficult time against fulham for some reason

adel tableharabt starts? aight we gon see some long shots today, ramsey better not make runs too much. we know rosicky's gonna press high and get involved with cazorla and giroud, he better do the arteta role properly if we dont want to allow taarabt and berbatov to have the space around sagna and merte

who's the name of the left commentator who thought fulham would win this easily? eat it!

and hangeland was wise to duck out of poldi's left foot special. i mean, it IS lukas podolski!

on a side note, fulham's CMs are terribad. cant even take advantage of two featherweights that are ramsey/rosicky.

and ramsey needs to calm it down, we dont need more suspensions. zelalem for ramsey if we lead 4 goals

at the end of the day, 3 points away from emirates, i have a slight suspicion that arsenal are better away than at home currently lol
*
i thought we did play better away than at home last season (?) the away fans is undoubtedly better tho

too bad sanogo didnt get a goal, he was clean through on goal if walcott managed to get the cross to him

some thoughts on the game: i think fulham's mistake today was to commit too much players into a high pressing game up the pitch, which leaves spaces in their defence. we had a great passing game today, we bypassed their high pressing almost all the time and managed to get to their half with acres of spaces to exploit. you play against arsenal, you put 11 players behind the ball. i thought all PL teams know this?

gibbs had a great game today, both offensive and defensive. sagna was excellent in CB as usual, the commentator who thought sagna's gonna have a nightmare needs to do some research before dissing. if he had any knowledge of sagna he'd know that his best game of last season was in CB, and he had another great game today. he even said we need cabaye more than benzema or di maria. seriously.

QUOTE(raizo7 @ Aug 24 2013, 09:55 PM)
That move (Jack) was the best moment of the game for me. Shame it didn't lead to a goal.
*
best move imo was the counter attack that led to a gibbs shot. the passing that released walcott was freakin sublime, it reminded me of our golden days of counter attacking football. i like that we're more direct today, more confident with our passing, more willing to pass forward rather than just turn around and return the ball deep. i know that giroud goal was lucky, but if ramsey didnt have the confidence to shoot that would have not happened. i like this directness, more please

n jack was monstrous when he came on haha, you can see he wants to win it with arsenal this season

QUOTE(HiperPanda @ Aug 24 2013, 10:27 PM)
We could played our football n more direct tonite bcoz Fulham is more to a football team. They played good n balance football. Things could go another way if it were team that play 11players behind d ball.
*
my thoughts too. if fulham played rugy we'd have it harder than it is today. we're not gonna play against positive teams like fulham every week, and if there are positive teams, it's really good positive teams like the top 3, spurs, liverpool, everton, swansea.

but we still had to win the game, and we did. more of those long shots lukas!

didnt have hopes for benzema anyway. we dont do business with real madrid.

wenger looked like he had something brewing behind the scenes ytd in the interview. looks like we're in for someone, we just dont know who. if we get a striker it should be the dynamic type, someone who beats defenders and runs onto through passes, cuz giroud doesnt have the dribbling nor the speed to do those

apart from soldado, i think most of their new players would be content with just playing europa league. playing in the BPL should be an upgrade for most of them. in terms of transfer money we'll see how much real coughs up for gabale. i heard it was ~70mil?

mata to arsenal? loooooool

i cannot brain, why would mourinho sell off their best player, mou aint a donk. chelsea has loads of players that can play mata's position, but cmonnnnnnn

even if mourinho DOES think that mata's not gonna part of his plans, he's better off getting him on a trade deal with man utd for rooney. chelsea want rooney, man utd want mata.

mata would be a fantastic addition to this team dont get me wrong, but he's such a great addition that it gets me slightly irked knowing this deal wont ever happen but the media still writes about it, giving the fans hope. reminds me of Bane's line in TDKR "there can be no true despair without hope"

... plus mata almost always sucks whenever i use him in fifa #irrelevant
