dont know. but dont think he is that much of an outstanding. saw a few spain matches with him. nothing much to shout. buying him would be like getting another giroud.

btw, just finished watching arsenal motd. our play doesnt seems that bad. but defending for the 3rd goal is shocking.

maybe bcos we only have 3 defenders and all are dying to score 1 bcos we are down with 1-2.

what's the story with us possibly qualifying to the group stages without having to play fenerbahce? are they involved in some scandal?

my take from that game was that we totally underestimate the need of a holding midfielder, a DMC, a midfield enforcer. Heck, Arteta aint a true DMC, but he did do a good job at that position. look at all 3 goals we let in, bcoz someone from Villa midfield, namely Agbonlahor, broke thru with no cover from our midfield..

capoue and paulinho looked decent for spurs. looking at the situation we're in i'd say capoue is a missed opportunity.

kondogbia is still available tho.

^ Yeah same thing happen when Ramsey and Wilshere played together against Napoli. Both love going forward thus leaving space behind.

spot on. look back at Agbonlahor's run for the first penalty. there's a huge space between the defence and midfield. Agbonlahor easily ran through our players without much trouble. that's where Arteta excels in our midfield. he's our new Gilberto that provide the wall between our midfield and defence. nobody in our current midfield could be his deputy.

so spurs and chelsea were awarded one penalty each, and we got punished by 2.

borderline conspiracy!

This. totally agreed with this. Both are more of a box-to-box MF rather than a makalele/deep lying midfielder. Kondogbia might be a defensive midfielder but i think he's in the viera/diaby mould not a gilberto/gustavo/javi martinez type of player which what we need to unleash ramsey/wilshere creative freedom.

Arteta is sorely missed. I still can't believe Wenger didn't sign Gustavo. mad.gif

^ maybe, but we need a DM anyway in the absence of mikel, or we'll see runs like that all the time. kondogbia would be decent for the job

a lot of fans asking AW to sign forwards..
suarez/rooney/higuain/michu and so on..
but from the game last nite, i feel the 1 we need most is defenders and midfielders.. @_@

Rather watch Moto3 race than Chelsea vs Hull City. It gonna be a very one-sided match. For neutral like me it's not entertaining.
