Finally the Dahon Vigor P9 is ready.
It is now more of a Vector P20 http://issuu.com/iberobike/docs/cat__logo_...64409%2F5819898 (check Dahon's 2014 catalogue here)
I think it's cheaper than getting the Vector P20 even after getting extra components (remnants from the Vigor P9).
I also used the same components as the Vector P20. SRAM X5's rear derailleur, SRAM 10 speed cassette, SRAM chain with power link, SRAM X5 shifter pods and SRAM Apex front derailleur. I also added a 39T (130mm BCD) chainring onto the existing crank. Added a FD adapter and bopught a RD hanger from Rodalink. I also shorten the handlebar (1 inch from each side) and added a cheapo grips with bar ends. Change all housing and cables to Jagwires. I also enlarge hole for the internal cabling so the FD's cable can go through as well. The modding costs another 1K in addition to the 2K for the Vigor P9. Still cheaper than the Vector P20!
On top of the moddings, I still have a set of new rims with 9 speed cassette and shifter, the original Dahon brake set (levers and V-brakes), another crank (53T), the Biolagic seatpost pump. Anyone interested, let me know.
