At RM1.7k, he is considering between this and the Java Fit. Any comment?

is that frankie's shop? dengkil? for RM 1.7k, can get the dahon p8 or tern link d8 if I'm not mistaken. the red color one. at least those are brands that are synonym with folding bikes.

if i can stretch up my budget to rm2000, which folding bike can u recommend?
thanks

with that budget, can get a decent model already. dahon mu p8, tern link d8. both model is 8speed i believe. and both is big names in folding bike, so the quality is there. it is still kinda entry level but it will suffice for beginners.

just my 2 cents.

The Dahon MU P8 is priced higher than the Speed P8. The Speed P8 is a proven bike both in terms of folding and also ride. As the Speed P8 use chromoly steel, the ride is more comfortable than the MU's aluminium. MU on the other hand is free of corrosion though and the ride is a bit harsh compared to Speed. The newer Speed named Dr.Hon's have lousy components, most visibly is thier rims, shifters and brakes. The older ones use Kinetix brakes with Avid levers, WTB rims and also have a seatpost with a pump inside. Also the older ones is shodded with Schwalbe Big Apple tires. I have 2 fellow riders including me 3 bought the older version from Sew Leong in Dengkil. Mine is the picture below.

Etigge, do you wrap your cables? if yes, what is the material you used? asking because the cable seems thicker than usual.

Hi everyone! Just discovered this excellent thread and am happy to find a lot of great info and opinions  thumbup.gif Based on my amateur research, I was looking to touch touch feel feel a Dahon Vigor P9 and was wondering if anyone knows if all Rodalink outlets carry the model or only certain ones like the Botanik outlet.

Nice to meet everyone btw!

welcome to thread. heheh

well to be sure, u can always call Rodalink to check which outlet that have ready stock for the model u want. u can also ask for the model color availability if u want to. they have central database, so feel free to ask them.
