QUOTE(danielcmugen @ Dec 5 2013, 11:57 PM) Is brake wiring the most important part to look out for to ensure bicycle safety? How much does it cost to replace a normal 20" foldie's brake wire? Generally folding bike brake line do not undergo huge stress unlike mountain bikes. If it is not severed or damaged, just let it be. If it feels rough, lube the inner wire with lubricant. Replacing with good brake line such as jagwire would cost you roughly RM100.

QUOTE(danielcmugen @ Dec 6 2013, 12:43 AM) It's a used bike, that's why I'm afraid. Well it feels normal, but I never open it up yet. I heard if it's rusty, it can break and cause brake failure? It could snap if its very very rusty. But that is rarely the case. If you are a hands on person im sure you can remove the cable and have a quick look at it to see any damages on the wire itself.
