Actually I would prefer a 16 inch wheel bicycle rather than the 20 inch.  It folds more compact and will be lighter to carry.  This is especially useful when going for outstation trips in a train and then you just want to explore the new places with the bike.

Also useful if you were to use a car instead of the train.  Bicycling sure beats walking around.

can consider Ori. Spec to spec Ori is kind of expensive but it is cheaper than Bromptom, in which Ori is `copying' (design direction). Ori 16" is very compact n easy to 'tow' around

Oh wow,  so Ori is copying the brompton design?  drool.gif

Where can find these Ori bikes for sale?
Also, does anyone know where to get 16" tyres such as Schwalbe or Kenda?

Not copying design, but the design direction as in the compactness and usability. It is like Ori is 'inspired' by Bromptom & i was told Ori original intent is to rival Brompton. Ori has carbon series but I am familiar with the Eco cheaper range only. Ori bike is quite well made, I would say. Folding Bike Trading is the distributor, they do carry 16" Schwalbe Marathon series tyre but damn expensive.

alot of those 16 inchers are not lighter, even heavier? than 20 inch bikes....?

Which one is heavier: between 1 kg of nail and 1 kg of cotton? rclxub.gif
smaller does not equals to lighter, bigger does not equal to heavier. nod.gif nod.gif
Once I was window shopping, and the owner asked me 'how many people fold their folding bike in their house?' 'A few only' he said.
Weight is an issue that will never dies....... hmm.gif

Why dont just carry into office? You can create an awareness of cycling to work is good.

Another way to do it is to take out the entire saddle & stem and chuck it in the backpack. This is what the college students do in US.

Why folding?

For those like myself who used to mtb/road bike, transition to folding needs some 'self justification'. Most common reason, IMHO is getting old where folding is more forgiving (comfortable etc). Folding also riders also kind of unique as in one hand you hv a total casual minded, then you hv those like kancil car owners who like to modified kaw-kaw as if no kancil anymore.

The most convincing reason to go for folding is you hv plenty of time to spare, and you finally realized life is not about destination, but the journey
