I will be going to JPJ on Monday for car plate registration. What documents do I really need to bring..
While is there any board in the JPJ wangsa Maju that shows the running number and all the available numbers for the running series. Anyone been to jpj wangsa manu to register recently.. let me know what should I do once I reach there... |

My experience bought number at JPJ in early of Aug.
Went to JPJ wangsa maju, there are few runner at downstairs But I straight go to first floor,take number and form then fill up with my personal details, attached with a cop. of IC and I have prepared almost 10 numbers to check. There should have a screen showing available number but unfortunately that was out of order. The officer check for me the number one by one and tell me which number is available. Waiting q for about 30mins, and only take about 3mins for the whole process. And it only take rm210. Before went there I have check JPJ website the number terkini is WYU1XXX And I looking for 3xx3 so lucky that i manage to get WYU 3xx3 at only RM210. The time made booking for my car, those runner told me this kind number price about rm500-800. U can check here: http://www.jpj.gov.my/transaksi-percuma-no...aftaran-terkini The running number for both wilayah and selangor new alphabet just started with 3 digits, easier for u to get ur desire number. Above is my own experience for ur reference. |

Nop, u should refer to the state jpj office to get their running plate alphabet.

Yeah, seems like JPJ's screen is always down and not showing numbers anymore. For wilayah's number, better prepare at least 30 numbers, but then again, the counter ladies might be reluctant to check all for you.

Finally went there earlier today. Quite fast. Less than 30min. Might have been faster if the runner take number also
 .The SA will be do the registration for me so I just went to buy my number. XX55. The only number I wanted and its available. Paid 210 via cash. It's easy as ABC actually so you can avoid the runners. Unless u badly needed a specific num (alternatively u can tender earlier). No board as we all chat earlier. The ladies are nice, some with Monday face though. |

Hi everyone, just want to check... Upon successfully pick up the number I want, what kind of doc will JPJ provided ? Is it road tax sticker n some form?
Do I need bring a copy of IC and driving license? For number such as 3377 or 2288, will it cost higher than usual? I found there is other branches from JPJ, must I go to setapak outlet? I heard the new requirement is that JPJ require an order invoice otherwise not allowed to tender.
If the tender is won it must be registered to that make and model. This is to prevent runners from manipulating the prices. Can anyone confirm this is a fact? |

Just went to JPJ Permaisuri yesterday. Now is W XXXX S from numbers 1200 to 9999. Went at 1.45 pm (opens at 2 after lunch) and took me about 15-20 mins to settle everything including choosing the numbers that I prefer.
Save RM 100 on runner fee as do everything myself easier and faster. |

I'm from Sabah...and I want to get W xxxx W how much would it cost me? the process and everything.. thank you in advance just get the form from JPJ sabah, fill in the no plate u wan. n pay the deposit. if u got relative/friend at kl, can pay half. or else i think better pay full.... becz will b trouble after win the no. becz u need to pay at JPJ KL for the remaining. Then mail the document with all the photocopy cert, resit, bankers cheque. if i'm not mistaken.... please call JPJ KL(Setapak/Wangsa maju).... n try to find out when they will announce the result. becz u need to call them to find out wether u got the no anot. then need to register within 3 months time.... hope that help |

It is not exactly correct to say that the highest bidder will get the number. If that is a nice number and the bid amount submitted is low, "they" will put in a bid slightly above the highest bid to win.
Of course, if the number is not in demand, you will get it if yours is the highest. I have seen runners outside the JPJ office as well as in the car dealers having a list of numbers. These are the list of numbers that you can get by paying a premium. They are not cheap as commented by the SA as well. |

well, just ask yourself, it's just a number.
how far are you willing to pay ?  if 7878 RM1001 you think it's worthy, then go for it. normally i just buy the number off the counter, because i lazy go tender. i've been waiting for perlis number for like a year, then fed up liao. if KL number running very fast, just need to foresee the coming number plate, and when your car is ready ( eg. ready stock or ETA 6months for example Ford Ranger ), if that's the case, no point tender your number plate too early. |

Now i m blur on bank draft name.
I checked the JPJ website form M.V.10. The bank draf should write atas nama "Ketua Pengarah Pengangkutan Jalan Malaysia". But i got the tender form M.V.10 from JPJ counter, the bank draf state atas nama "AKAUN KERAJAAN MALAYSIA, KETUA AKAUNTAN KEMENTERIAN PENGANGKUTAN MALAYSIA". I found the name is too long? It should "KETUA AKAUNTAN KEMENTERIAN PENGANGKUTAN MALAYSIA" only? or need full name as abv? |

Confirm they have 2 different big tender box for W...V and W...W. W...W closing date is 24 March and result out at 18 April....I plan to tender W...W but i still got for W....V even is just 10 day diff. JPJ counter is close from 1-2pm...friday 245pm. Those ask me check your number, please check your PM. |

1. Go buy bank draft(50% of your tender amount) before go to JPJ and Photocopy of your IC 2. Go to JPJ Pintu 3 to buy the tender form, rm2.50 3. Going to get plate for my first car, might get the car in the middle of april. Is W xxxx W open for now? From what i read some people say 11 another say 14. Anyone can confirm? If i were to go to jpj tomorow, what should i bring? Do i need any special documents or not? Bank statement etc... Because im still waiting for my loan approval. Sorry for these noob question i really know nothing here. Hope someone can help Thks in advance. |

It's a bit like a gamble if we do not know the competitor's tender price point or the number that we want.
Say, I tender at RM 500 and can put a maximum RM 1,000 but after closing date and results 2-3 weeks later, maybe I narrowly lose the number to another competitor who simply tender at RM 777 , which I think I could be able to raise the bid ( if within tender period ) to RM 1000 or so. |

Just went Permaisuri today, the process is easier/faster than i thought.
Go in through the side door, go to the first counter, tell the guy/lady you want to tender number, they will give you a number, then you sit and wait. Reach your turn, get the form from the lady, fill up the form, buy the envelope from them RM2.50, then pay RM10 for processing fee. Then put the form, receipt, bank draft, photostat IC, and a return envelope with your address written on it, seal, then drop it at the box Voila, done in 30 minute. |

I'm using mySIKAP portal...need to register using your own IC at the JPJ office.

There is NO way to access the mySIKAP without prior registration with JPJ is it? Ok, I have a bit of a problem - my SA is borderlining into what I'll call a useless bump so I'm taking things into my own hands. I do not wish to end up with a car plate number of W XXXX WA with 2 alphabets at the back… how can I go about ordering or booking this plate via online methods if possible? Can someone help me please? |

This mySIKAP you need to register at the JPJ and unique to particular individu/IC holder...so you cannot buy the number plate for other person...

I just went to JPJ and apply mySIKAP, and I ask them regarding the validity period of the number. They told me is only valid for 1 month, haizz... too bad. I thought it was 3 months. They mentioned after 1 month you can extend but u will need to go to JPJ office to extend.

According to my sa, Wilayah's number plate availability is 3 months. Whereas Selangor is 1 month. But he said no worries, they will help us to extend the period if necessary

i just called JPJ on whether i can cancel the previous number, the answer was no.

i got my plate no W. . . .X from mySikap this morning. went to a bike shop, bought a bike, show them the receipt. i was told, X cannot register now, until W has finished. W is running really fast, by next week W will gone. to be honest, there are very few people who understand the entire mySikap process. even the sales person was shocked. wah, u buat sendiri dari internet, macam mana ah? im here to give a big hug to everyone who contributed. cheers~  |

at jpj office at XXXX XXXX this morning, i had to explain to them what mySikap is before being given a number. Even at the counter, they were rather blur... but manage to do the verification.
Fast and simple Anyway is it possible to get a 2 digit number from mysikap? or still have to tender? Anyone tried ? |

Any bro here free to help me check car plate 3118 (any state also can) is available? Like KL, Sel, Perlis which i can get the plate immediately. My car is here now but I still unable to get the car plate, my runner fail to help me buy BMP, W..S, W..T,W..U etc. If the car plate is available online then I will heading to JPJ on monday to get the mysikap ID and buy it thru online straight away, no need rely on the runner anymore. just got my num from mysikap today!!!
fast and efficient... no need to line up... can get W...X even they haven release it at the JPJ counter... this morning only took around 30-45 minutes waited at JPJ permaisuri to register for the mysikap ID. reached there around 7.45 the num i got is 16 but i could tell you they do things seriously slow and they could chit chat with other counter and stop processing all the stuff. after successfully got registered and got the no rujukan than straight register at JPJ portal and got my num... Hi, just now I went to jpj Banting and want to register for mysikap, but the staff told me mysikap only their staffs can use it. Then she ask me to register myidentity... Which i think is diff things.. OMG.. I wan to to register W7856W . Can any volunteer help me to check check whether still available not?

Went to JPJ Bangi at 2pm today, at last got my registration in just less than 2 minutes.

Please note many JPJ staff did not upgrade themselves with the new thing. When my wife and I registered MySikap, both counter staff also don't know. The only person know is the front counter giving numbers staff.

Guys I bought a number under my name for a particular car I liked - recond and unfortunately the car's history didnt turn out to be true. So, now back to searching for another car..however I have had this number for 20 days, wanting to dispose of and use another number plate. How do I go about? People are telling me its not possible and I should just consider it burnt?

Am at JPJ penang. The officer said we can buy the number but can't register on our vehicle if different state. The system to register different state plate only start in June. How true? Anyone bought a different state number and successful register on vehicle already?

towards the new mySikap function available via the jpj site, been checking this thread quite often to see how people are getting on with procedures in purchasing their desired number plates. I have a few questions in mind if any of you wouldn't mind replying to my doubts, much thanks in adv!1) I would just like to ask if numbers like for example 2727 or 5566 are available there on mySikap? IF they weren't tendered, thus open to public. 2) Registration on mySikap is available to only Permaisuri/Wangsa Maju JPJ branch? Can I just head over to JPJ shah alam for example, cause i live within the klang valley area. 3) Any idea how we could check on when W Y is opening? Since on the notice board it says keputusan for W X is 21st April, which is today, but was already released and open to public purchase since 16th/ 17th. Do we need to constantly check here?
