yes, if and only if you are really good. Dont expect to come out and can apply for game designer and get good salary. Most game designers climb up to their levels from the bottom, start right from a gamer and with a passion to make a good game.

Malaysia has many game company, they are doing their good job silencely.

(add: i got a game design book and the writer is degree in physic, he is a game designer just because he want to be one, so the degree doesnt matter too much sometimes)
