eventually SW F&B business will catch up, as this concept is new in Malaysia. Its like a nice spot to have lunch, tea & dinner as it takes you away from the hustle & bustle life of the city. Its part of living.....

QUOTE(Covillea @ Oct 21 2013, 02:35 PM) same crowd. hope this will not affect traffic with the increase. ioi mall still rm1 & rm2 for weekday & weekend respectively. Yes..i agreed. JMB or SW management have to be told off about the parking fees. Parking fess have to be similar to IOIif no traffic, all outlets will close down one-by-one, not only f&b. already the car park operator closes many entry , thus making difficult entries into setiawalk for their convenience. |

Actually after reading the forum....i guess we want quality consumers in SW...we need consumers that patronized Mid Valley & Gardens who have mores spending power. We dont want certain kind of consumers found in IOI mall. We want upscale groceries like Cold Storage. SW is more upmarket than IOI. Hence, we need consumers who can smell the trends & much more sophisticated ones.

QUOTE(a123 @ Oct 23 2013, 09:28 AM) Some major huddles for going up scale. I agreed with you. B4 anything great can happen, we should shape up our JMB too. This bunch of people do not carry out their duties accordingly perhaps of poor leadershipFirstly SW management cannot even maintain existing facilities well. Look at the water feature - algae is beginning to grow in certain areas. Laminar fountain in unbelievable condition. Shoud be switched off. They are giving SW a bad impression. Valet parking gone. No replacement yet after six months. No common lifts to first floor retail lots. No elevators for trolleys. How to expect mass grocery customers push their shopping cart to car park? We got to be realistic. Beer Factory and Sector 7 have decided to turn their main lane into a back lane with impunity. Brio residents find their main entrance lead through a back lane when going to and from SW! Promotion in SW magazine only involves a handful (five) outlets. Beside the contribution from the five outlets, were common funds used for this? SW is supposed to have sufficient funds. Why the need to increase parking charges now when paking space is not an issue yet? Have the SW Mall and Hotel owners been paying their service and sinking fund charges? I hope the accounts auditors are from a reputable company. Who are all those people in JMB? Seem very secretive. They should announce the members to all owners. We write in to management- nothing happens. How are we going to help improve SW? Perhaps they want us to leave them alone. Fine, but please do their basic job -that is at least to maintain SW well. Any basic improvement, like covered walk way from Mall to retail lots, road signs on LDP to SW, etc, can happen gradually - over time. Can we continue to use current JMB? Are they already too tired trying their very best to takle the many basic issues for too long a time? Perhaps we need leaders with fresh ideas. Owners, please go to coming AGM to vote for new leadership in JMB. We really need a change. I hope SPS with their block SW Mall vote, would realise we need new leaders for their own good as well. |

QUOTE(Covillea @ Oct 23 2013, 12:31 PM) not true. JMB has a lot of influence & power. But SW JMB weakjmb can push developer to improve on securing quality tenants fast. jmb can work with developer to have more events & promotions every weekend at sw. jmb can ask developer to delay hike in parking. you're right, jmb a bit tired. |

But some tenants or owners are the 'Barbaric" type i.e. not paying their maintenance fees whilst others pay. Even in some exclusive housing area...some barbarians didnt pay their portion to maintain the guards at the entrance points.

Speculation will slow down & no name developers will be in deep trouble. Buyers on no name developers will suffered the most. The properties with good location & good transportation system will definitely excel. The problem is that buyers always follow herd instinct & with this instinct...all will fall in the abyss.

That's why property owners should voice out not only at this forum but in the next meeting held with the JMB & SW Mgt. Rental drop will spoilt the market...considering the business activities at the ground floor is a lifestyle.

QUOTE(laikt2010 @ Oct 31 2013, 07:24 AM) i feel very sad to hear this kind of comment~ Your friend mind set has to change because this place is a life style for people to eat, chill and enjoy the ambience. Afterall with a cinema nearby and others coming up...this place is promising. Again an individual has to travel a bit to appreciate anything. My friend and his family visited SW last week, he comments SW is more like a dead place, just eat and go, no shopping activities at all ! |

QUOTE(Benutzername @ Nov 4 2013, 10:45 AM) I have actually asked few questions in my earlier post (deleted). I'm new to this Setia walk place. I'll be moving ther in few days. I've been following the V2 and v3 threads since last week to know more about SW I sincerely apologized...ya..In my previous (long written) post I've asked stuff such as internet accessabilty, noise and other things that I HOPE SOMEONE CAN HELP TO CLARIFY. I wanted to call management office but it was public holiday. About moving stuff : I was told by agent that my access card cannot be used in resident car park so I must use lobby entrance. I did not take car park for my unit coz I don't need car park for now. Maybe few times a month. (RM100 parking lot deducted from monthly rental) Next week I'm going to move some stuff with car (from current house in Maple sentul) to puchong) I was curios if i really need to park at visitors car park and go through lobby everytime. Please note, I'm not from Puchong - still new in KL. and will move ALL ALONE. Wanted to get some helpful info guys.. So running out of time. few days to move and start working again. I've Never been there at night so I wanted to know how loud/noisy it is from high floor (my unit is in R3 facing forest) I also asked about getting a cylinder/cooking gas for my unit. I was hoping to get someone to clarify / help me with some issues with my new place. I guess i was wrong to post it here. I'll figure it out by myself Thanks and enjoy your monday |
