For out of print books, your best bet is either ebay or Amazon used books. You can get a 3rd party to buy on your behalf and ship them to you. I do this all the time via a LYN forumer providing such services.

QUOTE(klein @ Aug 16 2013, 06:07 AM) Ya, I saw one of then in Amazon. I havent really looked into other options but will do so in these few days. Thought I could ask here and who knows someone has them and are willing to let go. Things will be more convenient once I get my credit card to make payments If you're only buying a few books, it might be better to use one of the Bulk Shipping services here by one of our LYN members. Cost of the used books on Amazon and eBay for popular books is cheap BUT shipping to Malaysia might be: 1. Expensive; or 2. Unavailable. The used books are via Amazon marketplace i.e. by 3rd party vendors affiliated with Amazon. Most of them don't ship overseas. Even if they are available, shipping sometimes costs more than the book themselves. An USD3 used hard cover book might easily cost over RM70 here after shipping and that's considered good already.

QUOTE(klein @ Aug 19 2013, 07:33 PM) Hey, thanks for your comment. You just have me given me good insights on how it works. Appreciate that. Btw, you have got my PM Yeah, I was just as blur when I first started. Like the earlier comment, if you are looking for NEW books, then BookDepository might be a good place to start first. You can easily get any of your family with credit card to pay on your behalf, since you can split between the billing and shipping person and their respective addresses. If you can't find the book because they are out of print, then go to the USED section for the Amazon books. For most popular books, they're usually cheaper. If you look carefully, you'll notice that HARDCOVERS are sometimes selling cheaper than Paperbacks. Know why? Cos' shipping costs a bomb. So, if you're on a tight budget, usually it's better to go for paperbacks if you're shipping from US. Just replied to your PM, good luck with your book hunt.
