Recently there's some agent from a company named Pinggir Armada Sdn Bhd a.k.a Prima One which come to approach me regarding some phone promotion by them. They claim to be able to filter outstation calls/fax and also mobile number made from specific numbers and charge only fix price according the average usage to those outbound number within 3 months bills.

I'm curious if those company are legit and link to TM, or are they some private company doing this services, I contacted TM but they had never heard of such promotion and the company involve. Is it safe and legal to use such promotion/services or is it a scam/fraud generated by scamming company?

If anyone ever come across such promotion or is using it, please enlighten me, thanks

it has been ages.
basically its a router unit sitting between your phone and tm line.

when you dial oversea call, it adds a prefix to the number you dial (like ring ring card)

yes its legal.

so basically they're are indirectly buying the calls from TM, and provide to u in a "cheaper rate" according to their explaination
and yes it does involve a router unit as u mentioned
but how would it be legal if it's not under knowledge of TM themselves, this part confuse me

according to them, the other portion of the bill will be payable to their company instead of TM, is that how it usually works?

alright thanks for the info, not very familiar with things like this
is it recommended or better to just pay per use?
from their calculation i dun see much different, maybe a little cheaper but overall it doesn't seem to help in saving a lot of calls rate as they claim

majority of my calls do direct to other state or mobile number
but the calculation only show a bout rm50-60 in reduction after i evaluate the whole year calls and such
still considered cheaper but i was worry if it's illegal,
never know VOIP can be done in such way since i only know of direct VOIP device
anyway guess i have a clearer view about the whole things, thanks!

price rate i got on last quote

Sample e-fon call to a Malaysian mobile number:
Call duration: 34 seconds
Cost per second: 0.12 / 60 = 0.002 cents per second
e-fon cost for this call = 34 (seconds) * 0.002 (cents) = 0.068 cents
Sample "Telco X" to a Malaysian mobile number (with 30 seconds billing blocks)
Call duration: 34 seconds
Cost per second: 0.12 / 60 = 0.002 cents per second
Telco T cost for this call = 60 (2 billing blocks) * 0.002 (cents) = 0.12 cents
You save 5 cents in this call alone, even if the call rates per minutes are the same!
e-fon rate table (applicable from 1. May 2011 onwards):
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------`
MALAYSIA - FIXED-NATIONWIDE 0.12
MALAYSIA - FIXED-LOCAL (03) 0.08 (minute blocks)
MALAYSIA - MOBILE 0.12

majority of my calls do direct to other state or mobile number

other state cost the same as local call

mobile number - depends on which line is majority. consider getting a gsm desk phone with simcard from celcom/maxis etc.

can be very cheap this way.

same situation, but instead of cheaper rate this company promote a fix price regardless of + - in the bill
since my company operate 362 days (-3 days holiday lol) i think should be more or less the same usage
so u're using this kind of service too and it's recommended?

one thing i notice when i check them was how they reroute ur connection to their router instead of TM.

Ask them if it can automatically switch back to TM if their line is down, if they say need to send technician then u die la becos of downtime.

but if they say can switch automatic, then ok.

they say if router die or interruption and no choice, unplug the device and claim from them (but i know the claim probably is impossible with Malaysia biz style)

I dont understand. Its impossible to automatically route to their server to filter the calls.

All mobile numbers will connect back to the "provider" (Maxis, Celcom, etc etc) unless they setup their own communication tower then only its possible.

You must dial a certain number that connected to their server, and the server will connect via VOIP or other ways.

From what they claim, they mention something like a router and they will connect the router to the phone box near the office, so anything happen, if u unattached that device it will just resume as normal, not sure how they do it

there should be a switch at the router box to turn on/off

also, the backup is to manually dial the gateway line.
cheapest solution = get streamyx/unifi then you can dial telecom line for free. then mobile phones pakai gsm router/deskphone

he is right. previously there is agent keeps calling my company and the agent would set an appointment with my admin executive. when the agent met my colleague they ask for 6 months bill as they claim to give rebate up to 40% on my total bill. and then i feel something is wrong. its actually quite attractive when they claim to say their service is fixed priced bill like unifi but when it came to my mind it is not.

1st they claim they are from TM or PR1MA one which affiliates with PEMBANGUNAN RAKYAT ONE MALAYSIA as you can go to the website www.pr1ma.my they have a huge reminder saying that they do not appoint any agent or third party whatsoever to join venture with.

2nd if they are from TM why they extract details from accounts department when they have the bills database in their system.

3rd i clarified with TM there is no such matter regarding them as authorized agents (this is a major big scam)

4th why the heck would you want to split payment for 2 bills to TM & pinggir armada? i dont get it if you are claiming that you are from TM then it should be fully payable to TM right?

5th when they said is unlimited calls to all numbers please note that local calls are not included and they will install some device at your telephony system that f***s up the quality and there goes your boss reprimanding you for being a numbskull signing with this scam company.

6th the name card they provide you is fake address i already went before and there is no such company whatsoever.

7th is that they claim their gateway is using Telekom Malaysia backhaul but from what i know they are bought or rent the gateway from Redtone International Berhad.

8th when they tell you its fixed rate unlimited call, actually its not. do you know they would revise back if you call too much than what they expected? i think they are manipulating the bills at their side because when i applied, i got no idea why i did not get the itemized bill and they claim the BYPASS is the one which affect my TM.

what i know from a source from other telco (monoventure sdn bhd) that their office is actually located in Megan Avenue 2 Jalan yap kwan seng nearby ambank and it is located on the 10th floor but i forget which block.

they would tie you to a long tenure contract and once you feel something is wrong & you want to discontinue they will penalize you after you stop their service. But guess what, their agents would keep calling you again to promote the plan.

What i suggest is make a full report to police, legal lawfirm, or report to TM. Let them know that this is a major scam to corporate offices etc.

and why primaone a.k.a pinggir armada doesnt have a website? trust me, they are hiding something, smells so fishy

How many years you tied the contract with them? my staff have been called to TM to verified and TM has denied them too, what a shame! they have no traceable registered address instead of providing you and in other express doc, showing at least 3 various addresses, i am not sure whether this scam com have also unregistered address at somewhere, no formal website. We are going to terminate the contract (been used for several months) too after dissatisfying with their integrity, services has rendered to us.

2 years, they claim to be connected to TM but they're actually not, they have several address and phone number which is very suspicious, they will not allow to terminate, but don't worry if u're to discuss your dissatisfaction since now it is clear that they're not in partnership with TM, they have no right to remove ur phone service. What I did is sending AR registered mail to inform them, email them as well and fax, all of this can be used as evidence, I also intend to make a police report for reference purpose if things doesn't solve but glad that they remove the device after 2 months delayed, i stated clearly on the mail, email and fax that i will only pay up to the contract months and will not bear any charges due to their delay in removing the devices. Btw check ur pm, i have almost 8 numbers of their "office", u may try and call each of them to see if any are still working (some line already cut off from what i recall)

Recently received called from dunno what "blue ocean" company, mentioning the same package from Avista International saying that can save 40% of telekom bill. Are them the same company? And they're so persistence, 1 day 3-4 call even though I've mentioned to them we're not interested.

i have no idea how u can cancel but if u cannot cancel make sure u check ur itemise billing. one by one. make sure u have internal call audit system. then u match with their phone bill. don't let them to have chance to CON you.

my company had been CON for 1 years. we only started to realize now. we self stop using their service but they said we have 3y contract. bangwall.gif

also if you need suggestion maybe u can signup for redone mobile line. RM68 per month. unlimited call. they provide free device to connect to PABX system so company can use it to made call.

Hahh I also kena this... when I signed up was told should be 2 years contract...

Now when I tried to terminate they said it shall be 3+1 years and I have to pay the subscription until Mar 2023

Beware of this Pinggir Armada, Neptune, Avista.... it's all the same company

My experience with this company is equally bad. My office has been closed since 1 Jun 2021. There was no usage at all. But, they presented an invoice without supporting details. I wrote in and no reply for two weeks. Subsequently, the Account Manager refused to answer my calls. When he saw my number, he rejected the calls. Their billing team then send me another reminder for an invoice that is not supported by any call details.
