put in your kickstarter email and wait for the key in couple of days later

I have sent it and now, just waiting for my key.

Didnt know Void Destroyer also got on Humble Bundle.

Help the developer to get his game on Greenlight: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/file...s/?id=146068036

Void Destroyer is a real time space RTS that is inspired from Homeworld but you also get to pilot ships in 3rd person view if you want. A bit similar to Dragon Commander.

That was quick.

I havent played it though, so I am not sure how fun is it. From alpha feedback, they said the game is incredible though but i think you have to sneak more than gunning down all the robots.

Even finishing the tutorial is a bit difficult.

Skullgirls is a fairly technical fighting game but it has a really good tutorial that teaches you poking, blocking, and so on. I think if you are interested in learning fighting games, you should get Skullgirls. Considering it has a very small fighter pool of 9 fighters, it is quite easy to learn the game compared to Street Fighter 4. I quite like the fluid and well animated art style after playing around with it despite the style is a bit over sexualised at the glance. The tag feature is quite fun too where you can ask your other fighters to come in and help you or swap to them if you want.

I'll stick around and see how it goes. Interesting game but as a fighting game noob, it is quite hard to play. Almost died to a Sleep Walking AI too while my thumb hurts pretty badly after playing it.

If you want an easier fighting game, maybe try getting Mortal Kombat as it was recommended to me as the more newbie friendly game by reddit fighting games community.

If you played a lot of fighting games, then its easy for you.

What control method do you use though? Fight stick?

aye, mortal kombat komplete edition is indeed easier than street fighter arcade edition.

however, must remember to block (press or hold block button) or dodge attacks (hold down button) or else the fight will be over very quickly.

unlike street fighter series and many others, which might be easier to block just by holding the back or down back buttons, mortal kombat series require a separate block button.

and projectiles do not cancel each other out, they go through and both kombatants will get hit by their respective projectiles.

much easier to perform combos also, well, simple ones, not those 10 hit ones.

for example,
sub zero freeze ball,

then jumping high punch (numpad 9) followed by 3 high punches (numpad 9, numpad 9, numpad 9) will score a 5 hit combo doing about 12% (or was it 15% can't remember) damage

1st hit: freeze ball
2nd hit: jumping high punch (jump forward + numpad 9)
3rd - 5th hit: high punch x3 (numpad 9 x3)
*
Maybe i'll wait for Mortal Kombat then.

So, I am assuming that keyboard is a better control method then. The 360 pad is quite inaccurate, where it even missed some of the block command. Or i got a pirated version from UK considering I got it for RM75.

nice review. . definitely worth checking out. . saw some gameplay videos. . not a fan of fighters but I have to admit it looks awesome. .
time to buy a gamepad. . ps3 or 360 controller? any thoughts?

and anyone have trouble with wireless gamepads?
*
360 pad will be more useful as you can also use it for racing, platformers or even fps if you want.

Dualshock need some custom program like Motion Joy for windows to recognise it but then, you also have to mod the games to show PS3 button prompts.

I think you need to buy a special receiver for 360 wireless pad which is quite hard to find. Dualshock can use Bluetooth if your PC has Bluetooth.

hmmm for me, i using the default keyboard controls.
works for me since i keyboard player and not game pad.

arrow keys to move

numpad to attack, block, grab
low punch 7 9 high punch
low kick 4 6 high kick
numpad 0 = block
numpad + = grab
*
I guess i might give keyboard control a try then.

360 pad is a bit inaccurate for me.

Far Cry 3 is still a good game, especially the open world part.

For $20, its a bit expensive IMO but if you liked Crysis 1 or Far Cry 1/2 open world game play, this is worth buying then.

I dunno man, considering that EA's image has been tarnished by ME3 and Sim City, i guess they are trying to improve their image. I am not surprised to see this but i guess that is a win for gamers.

Have to see what are the terms and conditions though.

Now, i think i got poisoned by Battlefield 4 and Titanfall.

PS4 looks quite tempting now, especially Infamous Second Son.

Looks like Microsoft step up on its game a lot in this Gamescon after rounds and rounds of trashing from Sony in E3.

not too sure about Titanfall...for some reason it reminds me of Crysis...

I quite like Titanfall as it is a nice mixture of Hawken and CoD.

One thing about Battlefield 3 that I hate is the way to launch the game...really annoying.

If BF4 is like that that it scored some negative points from me haha.

Anyway guys, any game you would like to recommend that can be played by up to 4 ppl on the same pc? like sonic for example...need ideas for other genres.

thanx
*
If they still want me to use god damn Battelog to launch the game, then, i doubt i'll get it. It is very slow and clunky, then, once you join the server, you have to start Origin if you havent, then, wait for Battlelog to connect to the server, then, wait for the game to load. By the time im in the game, im bored d and the worse thing is, i landed in an Operation Metro server. doh.gif

Does Warfighter still use the horrible Battlelog like BF3?

Sigh.

No sale then.

Might just buy SR4 on the first discount to tide me over the whole Christmas shooters release.

CoD: Ghost looks niceeeeee. Scored extra points for me for being able to choose female characters.

Does BF4 has that? Somehow tempted to try BF or CoD MP
*
BF4 also have female soldiers if im not wrong.

Open Beta is on October, so you can try that too.

Can try to get Blur if you want, made the same people who made Sonic before their studio got laid off by Activision. Equally as fun as Sonic and I quite like the split screen lobby.

For platformers, you can try Trine 1 and 2 where you can coop up to 3 players. Mainly about solving physics based puzzles and a bit of combat here and there. There is also Castle Crashers where you can coop with 4 players on the same screen but this game mainly involves fighting cute monsters and so on, a lot of people on reddit like playing this with their gf.

Thats all i can think on top of my head.

The AI is pretty good so solo play is pretty fun on your own. Racing games is pretty crucial to have good AI drivers as most of the time, the MP is really dead.

Its not like NFS Hot Pursuit's potato AI that is sleep inducing.
